Ilwaco Tuna Fishing Tuna Seasons Opens August 1
Ilwaco Tuna fishing will start August 1, and fish through September 30. We had some wonderful catches last year with some big fish. What great fun for everyone and the EXCITEMENT OF LIVE BAIT when they hooked into one of those speeding bullets known as TUNA. Upon returning to the dock there were tall tales of fishing, wildlife and water conditions. Pictures were then taken and people coming from everywhere to view the catch. We had a few bystanders who asked to have their picture with the catches. I wonder what kind of a story they told!
Ilwaco Halibut Fishing
Halibut Open May 3
Halibut starts May 3rd through May 31st. We will fish Thursday, Friday and Saturday each week. 1 per day
There will be a second opener in August. Halibut 2nd Season in August 3 days a week (Fridays, Saturday, Sundays).
Halibut fishing is done off the mouth of the Columbia River, out about 25 miles in the Pacific Ocean. The water is blue and wildlife is plenty, so bring your camera and raingear and have fun.
Halibut limits in Washington and Oregon are one fish per angler.

Salmon are among the most highly prized fish caught worldwide. These fish are found in abundance off Ilwaco in the Pacific Ocean and in the Columbia River.

Ilwaco Deep Sea Fishing
Bottom fish opens April 1st seven days a week till the end October.
We found large quantities of bottom fish 18 miles from Ilwaco. In 2006 Milt found a spot the fish off the coast of Washington with much larger fish and limits of 10 assorted rockfish and 2 lingcod. We will fish this spot more, as weather will allow us. The scenery as you travel to the bottom fish grounds is very exciting and beautiful, so bring your camera.
