Venezuela Billfishing Charters

Two factors place Venezuela at the top of any list of big game hot spots. The first is that bill fishing opportunities are excellent year round and second; three billfish species populate our waters in the daytime. La Guaira Bank is a broad underwater plateau that rises to about 350 feet below the surface. The swift currents that sweep along the northern coastline create a tremendous upwelling around this bank, and the full range of the marine food chain can be found in the area. Programs for single day excursions or several days fishing with transfers, meals and overnights at the 5 star Puerto Viejo Hotel are available.

5 days / 4 nights with 3 full days fishing. The La Guaira Bank is a broad underwater plateau that rises to about 350 feet below the surface at only 15 nautical miles from shore. The swift currents that sweep along the northern coastline create a tremendous upwelling around this bank and the full range of the marine food chain can be found in the area. The squadrons of flying fish, legions of bullet bonito, and clouds of seabirds that one sees overhead signal that these waters are indeed bountiful. An occasional whale blows his plume of spray over the bank and vast schools of leaping porpoises stretch almost as far as the eye can see. In the spring, great schools of yellow fin tuna skirt the northernmost edges of the bank under the traveling umbrella of screaming, feeding seabirds.

Our representative will meet you at the airport and escort you on the 15-minute drive to the 5-star Best Western Puerto Viejo or the Anglers Lodge, a group of great houses right near the marina.

Each morning, after breakfast, your boat will be waiting for you for a 9:00 am departure. Spend the day fishing on the La Guaira Banks. Return to the hotel about 5:00 pm. Your professional crew will assist you so that you can take best advantage of the condition. Three full days fishing these productive waters will give any angler a great chance for a Grand Slam. Lunch, beer and soft drinks are on board.

A variety of 35 to 45 foot boats are available and your yacht will be confirmed upon receipt of deposit.

Includes: Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel, 4 nights lodging (double occupancy), 3 full days fishing with an experienced crew, 4 breakfasts, 3 lunches, beer and soft drinks aboard the boat.

Boat & crew are ready for a 9:00 am departure. Spend the day fishing on the La Guaira Banks and return to the docks about 5:00 pm. Each day fishing in these productive waters will give any angler a great chance for a Grand Slam. Lunch, beer and soft drinks are on board. A variety of 35' to 45' boats are available and your yacht will be confirmed upon receipt of deposit.

Itinerary:

Day 1.- Arrival and reception by our representative at the airport. Transfer to Hotel Best Western Puerto Viejo, Ole Caribe, or similar. Overnight.

Days 2 to 4.- Breakfast and full day fishing form 9:00 am to 5:00pm.

Day 5.- Breakfast. Transfer to airport. End of Services.
