Turks and Caicos Sport Fishing
Bonefishing
Come with us on a fishing expedition of a lifetime. With over 400 square miles of shallow flats, we fish from Pine Cay in the north to the wilderness flats and creeks on the northwest coast of North & Middle Caicos. Our fishing days start early, providing valuable fishing time on the flats. We plan the day according to the tides, the weather and the fish, not by the clock. Our experienced guide(s) will have you on the best flats casting in no time. We leave each morning with the day already pre-planned in our minds.
Bonefish follow the tides to feed in shallow water. The tides here in Turks & Caicos Islands flow in an odd way, which works to our advantage. When the tide is low and rising on the North Side, it is high and falling on the Southwest and vice versa, giving our guide(s) the advantage of being able to move through the flats all day. So you are always in the right spot at the right time.
Turks & Caicos bonefish average 3 to 5 pounds. However, the appearance of 6 to 10-pound fish is common, and we land several 11 to 13 pounders a year. Bonefish swim in schools of a few fish to very large numbers, often in the hundreds. Big bonefish tend to travel in singles and doubles, sometimes hiding out in large schools of smaller fish.
Turks & Caicos Light Tackle/ Bottom Fishing
Trolling Barracuda & Jacks They will strike anything that darts away from them in an injured manner. When hooked, they are some of the fastest and most powerful fish to be taken on light-tackle.
Bottom Fishing We go bottom fishing for yellow tails snappers, mutton snappers (tizick), red snappers, grouper, sharks and pretty much anything else that bites.
Shark At the top of the food chain, these tough predators offer some outstanding action on a fly or lure. Shark fishing off Providenciales is a sport in a class by itself! Shark fishing is a year round sport and can be done in both exposed and protected waters.
Turks and Caicos Deep Sea Fishing
Large numbers of Black-tips, Lemons & Caribbean Reef sharks are the most targeted. However, encounters with big Bull shark, Tiger shark, and Hammerhead occur each summer. Hardy anglers often catch as many as 15 to 40 sharks a day during the warmer summer months. There are very few fish that can rip line off a reel any faster than a big TCI Shark.
The deep sea fishing in Turks & Caicos is phenomenal. The TCI coast is covered in shallow coral reefs (Barrier Reef). This allows bait fish to wander off into the deep which draws in the fish of the deep to feed. This also means there is great fishing just minutes away. When trolling the deep you can expect hook-ups from Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Yellow-fin Tuna, Sailfish and, if you are lucky, you can sometimes hook the trophies of the deep, Marlin & Blue-fin Tuna. Turks and Caicos Fishing is in a class all by itself, and here at Da Reel Deal Fishing you can fall in that same class/catagorey as you enjoy catching rather than just fishing.
