Captain Till's biography Capt. Till Brauer was born and raised in Puerto Rico and his fishing experiences include Billfish, Sailfish, Dorado and other offshore species from Puerto Rico, Hawaii, United States, British Virgin Islands, Dominican Republic and Venezuela. Inshore, backcountry and freshwater experiences include Tarpon, Snook, Barracuda, Peacock Bass and other inshore species from Puerto Rico, Brazil Amazon, Dominican Republic, St. Marteen and other Caribbean islands.
Capt. Till is a current light tackle state record holder in Puerto Rico. As the owner of one of the islands most successful tackle stores, every day Capt Till teaches experts and novices alike all the tricks accumulated from a lifetime of fishing. His knowledge is also shared regularly in local and US fishing publications. Capt Till enjoys sharing and writing about his proven methods for catching more fish, bigger fish and about some amazing tactics for catching fish on the slowest of days. San Juan Puerto Rico fly fishing and Light Tackle Fishing Trip Info Location:  The boat is located at Cangrejos Yacht Club, located East of Isla Verde Beach, State Road #187, kilometer 3.8. This is on the right side of the road if you are coming from San Juan, just before you get to the Piñones Bridge. After telling the guard at the Marina that you are fishing with Capt. Till Brauer, pass the gate and continue to the right and with the Dockyard to your right take the first available left and continue all the way to the water’s edge which is Dock A, we are in Slip #7. The dock ID numbers are on the concrete trash can housings.
Time: Morning charter is to meet at 6:00 AM and the Afternoon charter is to meet at 2:30 PM.
Please be on time !!! What to bring: Sunglasses, sunscreen lotion, camera, a hat and a light waterproof jacket in case of a rainstorm. A long sleeve T-Shirt is a great choice for this type of fishing.. What is provided: Cold sodas, Gatorade, and bottled water are chilled and ready. Fresh fruit and snacks can be on board for a small additional fee. All fishing tackle, such as spinning rods and reels and fly tackle if applicable. Live bait, artificial bait and locally tied flies.
Notice to Fishermen Traveling to Puerto Rico Before choosing your charter services provider, do your homework by doing research in the internet, there are few highly experienced Captain’s fishing full time for Tarpon in the San Juan area.
DO NOT book your charter through a hotel concierge or tour and travel desk, these people DO NOT know fishing !
