As a matter of policy to ensure privacy, Turneffe Flats does not use last names of guests in our fishing reports

Week of Oct. 10-17

Weather Conditions: Fair weather and sunny skies all week.
Winds: East/Southeast at 5-10mph. Air Temp: Mid- to high-80s all week.
Water Temp: 80-82 degrees with good visibility.
Tides: Low tide in the early morning and a high tide in the early afternoon.
Moon Phase: Last quarter on October 11.

Martin C., from South Carolina, visited Turneffe Flats this week with a group of diving friends. Being a fly-fisherman, he took the opportunity to do some bonefishing. Martin had a great time wading the flats with his guide Charles and caught several nice bonefish that tested the knot strength and backing on his 8-weight rod. Martin also had shots at permit but unfortunately didnâ€™t hook one. The dive group very much enjoyed hearing about Martinâ€™s fishing experience and they indicated that they may also bring their flyrods next time.

2-for-1 Special: Our 2-for-1 Fishing Special will continue through the week of Dec. 12-19. The 2-for-1 Fishing Special is where two anglers traveling together sharing a room, boat and guide can visit for the same price as one Single Supplement Angler, $5,146.17. The rate per-person on this special comes to $2,573.09, all taxes included.
