[color=green] If you are coming all the way to Patagonia, why not take advantage of starting at one of the world’s Mecas of fly-fishing. Try the emblematic ChimehuÃn river!
This personalized program was designed to really get the best out of it with no pressure, just fun!
A Three Day Adventure
Personalized program: one guide for every two guests maximum.
Season: November till mid December, mid April till May. Contact us for other periods.
Day 1:
* 1. Introduction of your guide-instructor right after breakfast
* 2. Small talk about the differences of fly-fishing and other kinds of fishing
* 3. Getting to know your equipment (rod, reels, lines etc.)
* 4. Outdoor introduction into fly-casting
* 5. How to hook and fight a trout
All of the above has duration of 1.30 hr. Then we are off to the spring pond.
* 1. On the pond: casting and improvement of technique
* 2. Tying our first fly to the tippet
* 3. Fishing till lunch
Afternoon session starts after siesta (nap). Now we are ready for the river!
* 1. Familiarization with wading equipment (we put on waders and boots)
* 2. Introduction to wading a river
* 3. Line management in waters that have current, (mending line, etc.)
* 4. Movement of flies on the water (dry flies, nymphs, streamers)
* 5. We fish till dark…
Back to lodge for drinks, fishing stories and dinner.
Day 2: We start off where we left the previous day.
* 1. After breakfast, back to the river to keep improving and fish the morning and afternoon.
* 2. Back to lodge for farewell dinner.
Day 3:
* Breakfast and transfer to Chapelco airport.
