Cat fishing so far this year has been doing real good during the day time, we have had some slow days but over all good. Night fish on the other hand has been poor, not because the fishing is bat but because the weather will not allow us fish at night. When the sun goes down the winds pisk so bad in imposible fish in the open lake where the trees are. If you have ever been on Lake Marion you know what I mean.

Lake levels have staied up real nice this year, I hope that striper fishing this fall does real good. By law you can not have a striper in you boat right now, this law went in to effect last year. For the months of June, July, Aughust and September no striper are allowed to be keep in Lakes Marion and Moultre. Come 1 October you can keep (3) stripers over 26 inches long per person. When the temps cool down cat fishing should pick up better.

Good luck this fall, and rember a picture goes a long way so only keep what you can eat and let the rest go so others can have the fun you had.

Thank you
Capt Alan Spence
