WWFG Fishing Reports

Deep Sea Fishing St. Thomas, USVI and Marlin fishing the North Drop for the July moon, Black Pearl unfortunately was not in the July Open tourney, but the fishing has been good around the moon averaging 1-2 for 3 and 4. The average size for Blue Marlin has been around 450-500 lb. Black Pearl has had several 500 lb this month and boy what a fight they put up averaging on time anywhere from 20 mins. to 1 hour 45 mins. We have also caught several nice wahoo off the drop averaging from 25 lb to 50 lb, and even though they are really not in season but found some floaters and got a few dolphin. The Marlin picture shown is a 500lb caught by Jan Bennett and it was his biggest fish he had caught from Mexico to US Virgin Islands congratulations Jan and we look forward to fishing with you again next year. Next we have the ABMT (BoyScouts) tourney coming up 8/3/09 - 8/7/09 and Black Pearl is definitely in that one and getting ready to take on the big boys. Black Pearl along with her award winning Team & Crew will also be defending her 2 year running title "Best Local Boat" (game on) stayed tuned for updates. In the past few years the Sept. and Oct. moons have been good on the North Drop so we are looking forward to seeing what it brings this year.
