Largemouth, Smallmouth, and huge Bluegill are all biting right now. Huge stringers of Bluegill the last 2 weeks of May, 3 customers had totals of 17, 18 and 20 fish weighing 18, 19, and 22 pounds. they are being caught by using very small crankbaits to locate fish in the backs of coves off the river. Then fishing with live nightcrawlers, Flipping them just like a plastic worm. A #4 Hook and a small splitshot or no weight at all is all that is needed, really good fishing. The stripers are biting in the river. Early in the morning top water lures getting some quality fish, Pencil Poppers and large Rebel and Rapala poppers getting the job done. After the sun gets up fish the deeper water with cut anchovies and sardines . This will also catch a few catfish up to about 5 pounds. Now is the time to go, great fishing and not to hot yet.
