NEW FOR 2009

NEW CREW

Jade has joined the team as our new crew and he comes from Bermuda. He started just before IOU came out for her annual maintenance and refit so he got t to know all the workings of IOU both inside and out whilst she was out of the water. We normally relaunch at the beginning of October when she is all sparkling clean and ready for the next season's fishing. Jade crewed for a few charters before the lift out and has shown to be a good capable crew and interacts with our fishermen extremely well. Almost a year on Jade has proved to be an asset to IOU. Our team now consists of Martyn at the helm, Jade and yours truly now handling the office side of our very successful charter boat.

We can now honestly say that we are the only charter boat in Barbados who has one of the most experienced Captains and Female Champion anglers as part our team.

REEF FISHING

We are now offering reef fishing trips (private charter only) for a minimum of 5 hours at a very special price of US$550. This includes all your bait and tackle. This is limited to a maximum of 4 anglers.

DEEP WATER JIGGING

(Please note that this fishing trip is for professional anglers only)

Deep water jig for Jack, Amber jacks and Snapper. This is a private five (5) hour charter again at a very special price of US$550. This is also limited to a maximum of 4 anglers. We are the only charter boat to offer this service in Barbados.

GUIDED SHORE FISHING FOR BONE FISH

One of the worlds great game fish - the Bone fish - famed for scorching fast runs when hooked and usually fished for on the shallow water flats of the Bahamas, Bermuda or the Florida Keys - inhabits most of our shoreline. Not being edible, the Bone fish is not fished for commercially so a good stock of fish roam the spectacular East coast beaches were we fish. Fishing is always on a rising tide up to high tide which of course changes daily and dictates the time we fish. Barbados Bone fishing is unique because instead of the usually fly fishing from a boat on the flats, we cast from the beach, catching the fish in the surf.

Martyn has spent the last 8 years finding all the hot spots and can now offer guided Bone fishing for US$150 per head, this includes the use of tackle and bait, casting instruction if required, drinks and snacks. Groups of up to 2 Anglers can be catered for plus 2 spectators. Beach umbrellas, sun beds, drinks and snacks are provided for spectators for US$50 per head. We depart from our property near Gun Hill in St. George, which is on the way from either the south or west coast hotels to where we fish.

All shore fishing is subject to Martyn being available from skippering the boat, this fishing is also dependent on a flooding tide.
