On the 1st of March, Kevin and I were out bait hunting, and caught a huge bed of Anchovies, which we will use to "Chum" up the Tunas, Wahoo and a host of other interested fishes.
On the 12th. with friends of Michael Collins on board we had a tough luck day....the first 4 strikes all dropped off, including one which looked like it may have been a White Marlin as the bait was not cut like a Wahoo would do, we did manage to catch 1 Wahoo about 18#, 1 Coney and 2 Blue Runner Jacks
On the 13th with Ivan Green whom was only out for a 1/2 day Charter we struck a blank, not even a cut bait to show for our troubles, hoptfully that will be the only one for the year.
14th with William Griffin and son Rick, again on a 1/2 day, but this time we got lucky and caught one nice Wahoo of 58#
On the 20th With Eric Hirshberg, his son and friends, a very sloppy day with some confused seas left over from a 2 day blow.
The catch was 3 Wahoo up to 48# and 2 Mahi Mahi Dolphin Fish including a nice 21# Bull Dolphin. We found the Ocean Current was running very strong making anchoring nearly impossible, and to drift would have been too uncomfortable for the boys.
