On February 2 nd it was a nice day so Kevin and I went out Meat Fishing (No Charter) and ended up with 2 Wahoo 5 Almack jacks and some Coney's and Barbers and 1 Rainbow.
Ricky Cox and Barry Brewer Chartered us on the 7th, kind of a rough day with the tides screaming to windward on the Edge, we picked up 2 small Wahoo out of 4 bites, then went over th the Banks with some live baby mackeerel in the well, found the tides were going to leeward and caugh 3 nice Yellowfin Tunas 35/40#
Sunday 8th with Philip Vandondink and friends, we started on the Edge and caught 7 nice Wahoo out of 8 bites, luckily there were no drop offs which usually happens with Wahoo fishing. Then we anchored and caught about 40 live Robbins which we took over to the Banks, Kevin set up the Kite with a live bait and almost immediately got a strike, a nice Yellowfin about 35# at days end the count was 7 Yellowfins up to 45# and 9 Wahoo, having caught 2 more on the Banks on the live baits, they went 65 & 45#

Tuesda6y 10th Saw a break in the weather so Kevin and I went out Meat fishing again, tried trolling for the Wahoo bite that never took place, then anchored the boat and started chumming for the Ocean Robbins (Speedos) and after 15-20 minutes they showed up, and we caught 20 or 25 to use as live baite once we got to Challenger Banks, no more Wahoo bites on the rest of the way out, Kevin wanted to put the anchor down, as conditions looked perfect, and sure enoughn the current was moving slowly off the stern, there were several other boats in the vicinity reporting some early morning Tuna action but no bites for the past 2 hours, so they left us Laughing by ourselves.
This was great, and we set then Kite and a flat line with live baits and were rewarded within 20 minutes with 2 nice Yellowfins in the 30# range, we stayed there till 4.30 pm the total catch was 11 yellowfins 25/35# 1 Blackfin 15# 1 Mackerel 4 Almaco Jacks 4 Rainbow Runners 5/7 # 1 Snapper about 3# plus releasing 3 Dusky Sharks 80-100# that liked our live baits and provided a good pull.
On the 27th it was a very slow day, 10 hours only produced 1 Wahoo 40# 2 Almaco Jacks and 2 Blue Runner Jacks, better luck next Month we hope.
Tight Lines to all.
