Mississippi River Red Wing Minnesota
We are back in our boats again! Walleye and Sauger fishing is going great on the Mississippi River. Guide Dave Meyer and myself fished in a Walleye, Sauger Tournament on last Saturday, the tournament is called Freeze Your Butt Tourney only in Minnesota would you use that title. There were 74 boats in this tournament Dave and I took 10th place. What a nice way to start our soft water fishing. Water temperatures were from 33 degrees to 37 degrees. The presentation that worked the best was fishing a jig. We used a 3/8 oz. Northland Fireball Jig with a stinger hooks. The best colors were blue, and parrot tipped with a Fat Head Minnow. Our depth varied from as shallow as 10ft. to as deep 42ft...
If you are looking to solve that Cabin Fever, please contact us for a fishing trip.

Larry Hanson
