Fishing in the Great Smoky mountains is fantastic at this time of year the leaves are changing and the overnight temps are in the 40's and 50's! Droping water temps are making the fish very eager to feed! Not to mention a large variety of insect hatches sporadic through the day , have made dry fly fishing great, lots of surface activity. I have been leaving the Nymph box in the truck! Thomas was on upper middle prong on Saturdy and he and his client landed over 15 fish with many other strikes and looks all on dries, the fishing was so good that he dropped his clients off and drove directly back to the spot were he had been and continued to catch fish! I was jealous! The fishing will only continue to get better in the next weeks to come.
