The fly fishing is going to be getting the best of the season very shortly! The caddis and mayflies and the flying ants are all hatching! the water is still cold, the fish are active and feeding. The only downfall is the water is high, but it's dam controlled, when they shut the dam down it's like a feeding frenzy! The remote trout ponds in the area have been just tremendous, good catches of trout and salmon are happening daily. On rainy days, we fish wet flies and nymphs. In the rivers we're fishing streamers and nymphs. When it stops raining we have some good hatches and the trout are feeding. The water is 55 to 58 degrees. Come try your hand at some of Maines trout!
