Spruce Creek Fly Fishing Trips 
Three to five day trips are to private water on Pennsylvania's famed Spruce Creek.
Intended for intermediate to advanced fly fishers and is limited to six rods.
 Fish for big browns and rainbows on more than a mile of limestone
spring creek. Many trout are in the four to six pound class. Usually
everyone catches at least one fish over eighteen inches. A whopper is
typically a 22-24 inch rainbow or brown.
Package includes two-five nights of lodging at the stream, all meals
from lunch on arrival day through lunch on departure day, beer, wine
and an open bar, rod fees, a small selection of flies, a commemorative
Trout & About ball cap and limited guiding.  Spruce Creek Fly Fishing (Private Water)
Spruce Creek is perhaps the best of the central PA spring creeks. Unfortunately there is very little public access. Fortunately Trout & About has a very good relationship with the Harpster family who control about 2.5 miles of this creek in two sections. I routinely have about 85 days booked on this water each year. For 2009 we have bookings at both the upper the lower property which are called the Cabin and the Cottage respectivley. This is gentlemen fishing at its best. Lovely setting, lots of fish including many big ones, easy access (much of the creek is fishable from the banks) and most importantly no crowding.  Remember this is private water and the only people there will be our group of 4-6 people. Trout & About trips are all inclusive except gratuities. The minimum trip is 48 hours on the private water. For example noon on Wednesday through noon on Friday. Many of our trips are 72 hour trips and some can be longer. Cost is driven largely by the landowner rod fees which also include the lodging.
