Sportsman's Lodge is not a large, fancy, resort-style facility with all the fast paced activities normally associated with such an operation. Sportsman's Lodge is a small, clean, family-operated Red Lake fly in fishing lodge, dedicated to offering our guests excellent fishing and/or hunting, top service, the finest equipment, warm hospitality, reasonable rates and a relaxing atmosphere. Oh yes - we do have a few of the necessary trimmings, such as remote satelite Internet, 24-hour telephone service, 24-hour a day electricity supplied from our own generators, television, an ice-making machine, etc., but basically, we are just what the name implies - a spot where the Sportsman can get back to nature and enjoy outstanding fishing or hunting, in a clean, uncomplicated, unpolluted and relaxing environment. Canadain Fly in Fishing from Red Lake  We have built our Lodge way out beyond the highways, accessible only by float-equipped aircraft. The main lodge is built of logs hewn on the spot. Separate guest cabins are built of log-sheeting, and are line and insulated. The guest units are spotlessly clean and are equipped with comfortable beds, clean white linen, warm woolen blankets, towels, propane cooking stoves and BBQ's, wood heaters, refrigerators, hot and cold running water with flush toilets, and showers , 24 hour a day electricity supplied by our own AC generating plant, plus all cooking and eating utensils.

You may be assured of safe, pleasant, comfortable hours on the water in our extra-roomy 16 foot boats, powered by reliable electric start 15h.p. Honda 4 strokes motors. Our equipment is renewed regularly and kept in top condition.
FLYING SPORTSMEN
If you wish to fly commercially to Red Lake, contact us and we can arrange your flights through Red Lake Travel Service. You can also fly your private plane into the Red Lake airport, (5,000ft. paved strip) then take a taxi to the seaplane base and board a float plane for the flight into camp.

Our housekeeping plan - includes, fully equipped cabin, (all bedding, towels, cooking utensils, pots, pans etc.) Boats with safety cushions, life jackets, paddles, anchor, landing net, swivel boat seats, electric start 15 h.p. Honda 4 stroke motors - a tank of gas per day per boat, a detailed map of our lakes, wrapping & freezing of fish - plus your air transportation from Red Lake to camp and return at end of stay.
We do have shore lunch kits and coleman stoves available if you would like to make your lunches out on the lake. Food items for your shore lunch kit can be provided at an additional cost.

 Try one of our three outpost camps for a true adventure. Just you, your friends, a beautiful lake and fishing all day long. The fly-in outposts are north of the main lodge on Hornell Lake, Mantricia Lake, and Warrington Lake. All of our outposts offer spectacular fishing for Walleye and Northern Pike and outstanding scenery. Guides are not necessary to find good fishing. However, we normally have some experienced guides at camp on on a first come basis. We cannot guarantee we will have enough reliable guides at all times, but will do our best.
