Lac Seul Fishing Lodge
 Situated in the heart of Lac Seul, Mahkwa Lodge is the ultimate fishing destination in North-Western Ontario's Boreal forest region. The abundance of wildlife, sandy beaches and trophy size Walleye and Northern has made Mahkwa Lodge one of the most popular destinations for all types of people from around the globe.
As the only Lodge in the south-west area of the lake with exclusive access from the facilities, you are guaranteed a first class fishing experience.

The numerous hot spots for Trophy Northern and Walleye are located just minutes away from our doorstep. Smallmouth Bass and Whitefish are also abundant in area's close to the lodge, where as Musky can be found just 40 minutes up the lake.
 Our Walleye season opens on the 3rd Saturday in May, with the spawning season of Walleyes and Northern complete, this is the ideal time for fast fishing fun. The only exception to this is in Vaughn Lake (a 10 minute boat ride from the lodge) , as a fish sanctuary Vaughn opens on June 15th.
The lake level fluctuates by about 4 feet annually, from it's lowest point in May and rising to it's peak in July. May and June are ideal times for fast fishing as the Walleyes and Northern are just ending the spawn and still 'hang around' the shallows. Casting with small spoons in the shallows is fun. As the waters warm up the WAlleyes move to deeper waters allowing for trolling and jigging.

Fishing Regulations on Lac Seul have not changed over the past couple of years. Depending on what type of license you purchase (seasonal or conservation) you are limited to the numbers of fish in your possession at any given time. Slot sizes have also been introduced for Walleye, Smallmouth & Largemouth Bass and Northern Pike. See Regulations below for details.
 Boats and Motor Rentals
Our fleet of 16.5' Lund boats are available at $130.00 US per day. Each Boat comes complete with 50HP electric start, 4 stroke motor and all safety equipment. Not included are; depth finders or anchors. Please remember, you are responsible for prop damage unless accompanied by a guide.
Lac Seul Fishing Guide
Our experienced guides are from the community of Lac Seul, each day they will not only take you to the most productive areas on the lake but will also prepare you a perfectly cooked shore lunch on one of many scenic beaches the lake has to offer. Guide service are included in the Full American Plan. You can however, reserve a guide at a rate of $145.00 per day, please book in advance for guides.
American Plan
 To make your stay the most enjoyable experience possible, we offer a FULL or MODIFIED American Plan for up to 40 people. Our fully furnished (heated) units are complete with daily maid service, linens and everything you'll need to relax and enjoy.
Your day begins walking up to the amazing beauty of the lake and a full hearty breakfast of your choice awaits in the lovely log dining room. You're now ready to explore the vast beauty of Lac Seul, (80 miles in length and 4 miles in width). After a full day on the lake including a fill of walleye for lunch, you return for the main meal of the day that you pre-arrange with our kitchen staff. You will dine on traditional Northern cooking prepared, with pride by our qualified chefs.
For entertainment, why not try the 10 person hot tub before a game of pool in the lounge. Or simply relax in the Gazebo overlooking the lake while reflecting over the days events.
