The Wolseley Lodge is located at the mouth of the Wolseley River one of the major spawning grounds for the Walleye, Northern Pike and Muskie at our part of the French River.
Overlooking the scenic Wolseley Bay, our main lodge offers a LCBO licensed dining room we are serving beer, wine, and coolers to all our guests and the public.
The French River has a well deserved reputation for first class fishing since many decades. The French River is a series of island dotted lakes connected by rapids. More than 95% of the shore line is untouched and protected by the French River Provincial Parkland,
Dokies Indian Reserve and Crown Land. 2 rapids are coming down into, and 3 rapids are leaving our area which is a 25 km long part of the French River and the 5 km long Wolseley Bay.

We offer nice clean cabins, a restaurant and the most modern fleet of fishing boats (2004 Models) at the French River, all with electric start motors and live wells. We also provide you with updated shore line maps with all the hot spots you need to know.
 French River Fishing Lodge "All Inclusive" American Plan
We offer the "all inclusive" American Plan Package. Everything is included all you need to bring are your personal articles, towels, fishing tackle and a great appetite for our home cooking style meals. We take care of the rest.
We take care of:
- the accommodation in our cabins - nice 16' Legend boats (new in 2004), equipped with 25 hp e-start Mercury Motor and live well (all gas and oil included) - 3 meals in our restaurant (prepared shore lunch or boxed sandwich available as well)
During Spring and Fall you will have boxed lunch on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Dinner at arrival day - Breakfast at departure day - non alcoholic beverages are included only with the meals - all live bait, worms or minnows (no minnows during the hot summer weeks) for the great fishing at the French River - fish cleaning hut - fish freezing facilities - ice to cool your drinks - firewood for your campfire nights with many fish tales to tell - also maps of the French River

Pike
Pike are plentiful in the weedy waters and shallow bays of the French River. They spawn in weedy bays right after ice breakup. They feed on fish, ducklings and frogs. It's even common to catch them from off of our dock at dusk or dawn.

Walleye/Pickerel
The Walleye can be found in the French River in and around Wolseley Bay. They prefer mainly cold, clear waters. They spawn in early spring in shallow water over gravel bottom and feed mainly on fish. Try at a depth of 5'-8' at dusk & dawn feeding times when trolling or casting, or deeper during warmer daylight hours when jigging.

Large Mouth Bass
Find them in the warm and weedy shallow bays of the Wolseley River. They feed on fish, crayfish and frogs. Try a silver or chartreuse spinner when casting or trolling around the weed beds and lily pads.

Small Mouth Bass
Are found all around the rocky waters of the French River Bays. They feed on fish, crayfish, and insects. Try a silver spinner or live minnow when casting or trolling .

Muskie
Muskyie are found in quiet, weedy, rocky areas of the French River. They feed mainly on fish, crayfish, frogs and waterfowl. Try your favourite muskie lure with a lot of patience. Muskies are known as "the fish of a thousand casts"
