Devils Lake Fishing Resort

Located in beautiful Minnewaukan, North Dakota overlooking Devils Lake, Spirit Water Inn Resort offers a variety of accommodations for family getaways and sportsmen's adventures.
Devils Lake is the largest natural body of water in North Dakota, making it your premier vacation destination for all four seasons of the year. We offer some of the best fishing and hunting in North America. This 140,000 acre lake has over 375 miles of shoreline and is more than 90% undeveloped.
Devils Lake Fishing
Devils Lake fishing is outstanding year-round for a number of species including: Walleye, Jumbo Perch, Northern Pike, and White Bass. The lake itself is relatively shallow with an excellent forage base that produces large fish fast. The opportunity exists here to land the trophy of a lifetime. Northern Pike of 10 plus pounds, 8 pound Walleye, jumbo yellow Perch and knuckle busting White Bass of 3 pounds are not uncommon when fishing Devils Lake. It's hard to beat Devils Lake North Dakota if you love to fish or hunt.
"I've been fishing Devils Lake for a lot of years, and remember when we thought 39,000 acres was a big lake. Well, it's really big now, 135,000 acres or so, depending on which day you count. But the really great news is the fishing. This is...simply one of the best walleye lakes in the world. Pike, big white bass and perch too. The waterfowling's world class too. Visit my friends at Spirit Water Inn Resort. Their service and friendliness is world class too." -- Tony Dean
Devils Lake is home to hundreds of species of birds, waterfowl and a diverse array of wildlife. Buffalo can be spotted grazing in the fields. North Dakota is one of the few spots left in America where you'll find more critters than folks.
Devils Lake Ice Fishing
Devils Lake Ice Fishing is becoming very popular. Many perch, walleye, and northern pike are caught each winter. Devils Lake fishermen have yet to pull a 3 pound perch out of her waters but that is what brings a lot of people back each year. On February 26, 2005, a record-breaking 46" 29 lb 2 oz Northerm Pike was caught through the ice.
Some of the hot spots for Devils Lake in the wintertime include Rocky Point, Cactus Point, Minnewaukan Flats, Highway 20, and Highway 57.
