Devils
Lake North Dakota fishing, resort, walleye, perch,
ice fishing
On the shores of beautiful Devil's Lake, North Dakota.
Located
in beautiful Minnewaukan overlooking beautiful Devils
Lake, Spirit Water Inn Resort offers a variety of
accommodations for a season of life or just an evening.
If you haven't been to Devils Lake over the past few
years, you won't believe what you see. This lake has
doubled in size due to high runoff in recent years.
Fishing is outstanding year-round for a number of
species including: Walleye, Jumbo Perch, Northern
Pike, and White Bass. The lake itself is relatively
shallow with an excellent forage base that produces
large fish fast. The opportunity exists here to land
the trophy of a lifetime. Northern Pike of 10 plus
pounds, 8 pound Walleye, jumbo yellow Perch and knuckle
busting White Bass of 3 pounds are not uncommon when
fishing Devils Lake. It's hard to beat Devil's Lake
North Dakota if you love to fish or hunt.
Devils Lake is North Dakota's largest
natural lake. This 122,000 acre lake has over 375
miles of shore line, is more than 90% undeveloped,
and is home to one of the densest hardwood forest
in the state.
"Over the next few years, Devils
Lake will again be the perch hot spot of North America.
It's an ice fisherman's dream. It also has a great
walleye and northern pike population, but it's the
perch, big ones, that'll keep us coming back."
-- Tony Dean.
Ice Fishing on Devil's Lake is becoming very popular.
Many perch, walleye, and northern pike are caught
each winter. Devils Lake is still yet to pull a 3
pound perch out of her waters but that is what brings
a lot of people back each year. Some of the hot spots
for Devils Lake in the winter time include Rocky Point,
Cactus Point, Minnewaukan Flats, Highway 20, and Highway
57.
Housekeeping habitats, simple sleeping rooms, your
own furnished farmhouse, rustic campground, or elegant
bed and breakfast suites are yours for the asking.
