Welcome to Carolina Explorer Fishing Charters and Guide Service. The New Carolina Explorer is a 2007 24ft Mako bay boat with a 225hp Mercury 4-stroke engine, Minn-Kota trolling motor, and all USCG safety gear.

The goal of every

Captain Robert can accommodate everyone from the serious angler looking for that special trophy fish to a family looking for a great charter fishing experience.

The excitement of seeing a fish hit your lure, fly, or live bait is hard to explain. Bait, ice, fishing license, and tackle are provided on your fishing charter. The light fishing tackle provides the angler a challenge and thrill of a lifetime. There is an extra charge of $50.00 for a 5th person. A fish cleaning service is available on your Carolina Beach fishing charter. All trips require a $100.00 deposit to reserve your Carolina Beach fishing charter. Visa and Master Card accepted.

Captain Robert Schoonmaker is a full time charter captain and fishing guide. He takes pride in making his clients comfortable and putting them on fish. Captain Robert operates the longest running light tackle fishing guide service on Carolina Beach. Having charter fished for 15yrs, he knows what it takes to give you and your family a fun and professional fishing charter.

Captain Charlie "Lost Boy" Schoonmaker has been a lifelong resident of North Carolina. Growing up on the rivers, lakes, and shores of North Carolina has given Charlie experience in all water sports from freshwater canoeing to deep "bluewater" fishing. Having commercially fished as well as sport fished, the "Lost Boy" has seen all aspects of the ocean world and he can appreciate each complete & varied area of the fishing and water community. Charlie has over 45 years of local knowledge and experience fishing the Beautiful Southeastern Coast of North Carolina (SENCland). He is your perfect Native South Eastern North Carolina Fishing Guide and Charter Captain.
