Garrison Sports is located on the northwest corner of Mille Lacs Lake, Right Downtown Garrison, Minnesota. We Are 100 Miles North Of Minneapolis-St Paul Area. Mille Lacs Lake Minnesota Fishing for Perch, Walleye and more... Mile Lacs Lake is 132,000 acres or slightly more than 200 square miles. Mille Lacs is a shallow lake with a few places just over 40 feet deep. Fishing structures abound, mud flats (flat topped hills of muck averaging 22-25 feet on the tops) dot the center of the lake and rock reefs,gravel bars, rock points and sandy shorelines make up 1000’s of miles of great fishing.  Although the walleye is ranked the number one game fish in Mille Lacs, The yellow perch is very high on the list of sought after game fish. Northerns, Muskies, Eelpout (Burbot), Smallmouth Bass, Bullheads, and Carp (bow fishing for carp is very popular in the clear shallow waters of Mille Lacs) round out the list of popular game fish. Garrison Sports is a bait and tackle shop dedicated to walleyes on Mille Lacs Lake. this bait and tackle shop was established on this site back in the late 1940’s. Kari Hough and Bob Weston bought the business in the spring of 1975, and it has been Garrison Sports ever since. Noted guide Greg Erickson joined the staff of Garrison Sports In 1982 and has been running the fishing launches and the rental fishing house’s on a full time basis ever since then. Mille Lacs Fishing Guide Service (May - Labor Day) Garrison sports and the Erickson Brothers Guide Service has three launches, two 37 foot steel hull boats and one 60 foot steel pontoon boat. Parties of 20 to 40 people can be served or multiple boat parties up to 80 can be handled. While private parties can be handled, the "walk on " business is the most use launch service available. Winter ice houses are rented regularly from mid December till end of February. Six person sleepers or two man view house are available and set up on the hottest structure going. 4hr. charter, 11-20 people $525.00
4hr. charter under 10 people $400.00 The launches run three trips a day, 7 days a week, from opening weekend (mid to early may) thru mid september. Reservations are encouraged but are not required. Warm clothes and sometimes rain gear is needed. Although pop is sold on the boat, you are welcomed to bring your own cooler. You can use your own rod and reels, however we would prefer you use our gear, that way Greg knows you will have the proper tackle for the particular style of fishing he will be doing on your trip. Mille Lacs Ice house Rental (December - end of February) - 6 man sleepers
- $175.00 per 24 hour period on weekends
- $ 87.50 per 24 hour period on weekdays these are 10’ by 20’ six man sleeper houses.
- They are carpeted, paneled, 2 gas lights, thermastadt controlled heaters, 6 holes with rattle reels, double bunks on one side of house and single bunks on the other side, table and chairs.
- 2 man view house - $45.00 for one prime time
- $65.00 for two prime times These house’s are set up to actually look down the hole and watch the fish bite (or swim by depending on your skill or luck). There is two big holes and the inside of the house is darken to see down the holes. The prime times are the first two hours of daylight and the last two hours of daylight.
