LORETO BAJA SPORTFISHING

mexico fishing chartersLoreto is located on the Sea of Cortez 700 miles south of the US border on the eastern side of the Baja California peninsula. Loreto is Baja’s oldest city and is home to the very first of the California missions built in 1697. Loreto possesses nearly 155 miles of coastline, 465 square miles of sea and 14 islands. This quiet coastal fishing village is surrounded by unspoiled desert and the jagged peaks of the Sierra La Giganta Mountains providing a dramatic backdrop to colonial town of Loreto.

The months of March, April and May is peak for yellowtail, cabrilla and snapper, the months of June thru October is prime for lots of dorado, stripe marlin and sailfish. The islands of Coronado, Carmen, Catalan, Montserrat and Danzante lie just off just off the coast of Loreto and offer protection from weather, varied fishing environments and stunning natural scenery.  Loreto is easy to get to just a 1 ½ hour flight from LAX.

LA PAZ BAJA SPORT FISHING


mexico fishing chartersLa Paz is situated on the Sea of Cortez is just a short 2 hour flight from Los Angeles, CA on the eastern side of Baja California.  It is also the Capitol of Baja California, Sur. Here you can stroll along the waterfront (malecon) and enjoy a romantic sunset. Indulge in delicious local cuisine especially the famous taco stands that provide a cheap and delicious meal and if you wish you can dance until the wee hours of the night. Explore historic museums or shop for authentic Mexican arts and crafts. Experience legendary sportfishing for marlin, wahoo, tuna, dorado and more. Snorkel with playful sea lions or scuba dive with hammerhead sharks and giant mantas. Kayak alongside friendly dolphins and whales or venture into the tranquil bays of Espiritu Santo Island. Discover ancient cave paintings in distant canyons. Or just relax and do nothing at all on an endless white sand beach.

Fishing is peak in La Paz the Spring and Summer.  From March through May you can expect to catch big mullet snapper, cuberal snapper, yellowtail and cabrilla, from June through October you can expect to catch blue and black marlin, sailfish, dorado, yellowfin tuna, wahoo, etc.. Roosterfish that travel along the beaches can be world-class in the 40-90 pound range especially in the Las Arenas area.

EAST CAPE
BAJA SPORTFISHING

Located on the Sea of Cortez on eastern side of Baja California Sur, Mexico, approximately 50 miles north of the Los Cabos Airport the East Cape is situated on Baja's world renowned Sea of Cortez, this area is known worldwide as one of the premier vacation and big game fishing spots in the world.  It offers a tranquil very relaxed setting where you can just kick back and relax after a day of fishing. 

Prime time fishing for this region is April thru the end of October. These fertile waters consistently produce huge numbers of blue, black and striped marlin, sailfish, dorado, wahoo, yellowfin tuna, roosterfish and more. If phenomenal fishing, spectacular diving, kayaking or just relaxing by the pool or in the Sun is for you, then take a trip to the East Cape of Baja.

CABO SAN LUCAS BAJA SPORTFISHING

mexico fishing chartersCabo San Lucas is easy to get to from most North American gateways. Cabo is situated around a large marina and beautiful bay where the Sea of Cortez meets the Pacific Ocean, is famous for its casual atmosphere and exciting nightlife. Long a favorite for anglers out to land the big one, Cabo San Lucas also has great beaches, beautiful golf courses, plenty of shopping and restaurants, and a variety of hotels and resorts for any size budget. Cabo San Lucas is also known for its famous stone arch, called El Arco, a magnificent natural rock formation at Land’s End. Cabo San Lucas' long sandy main beach, El Medano, is the place for swimming and watersports. 

As a rule, the peak fishing season in Los Cabos runs from October through June, when the most sought after game fish are in the area and on the bite. You can expect wide-open action for blue marlin, stripe marlin,sailfish, dorado, yellowfin tuna, wahoo and rooste. If you like fishing the bottom structure you can expect to catch amberjack, cubera snapper, cabrilla and yellowtail most of the year. Cabo is also the home of the worlds richest marlin tournament the Bisbee Black and Blue marlin tournament held every October where the purse is over $2,000,000.00.

SAN JOSE DEL CABO SPORTFISHING

mexico fishing chartersLocated twenty miles northeast of Cabo San Lucas, San Jose del Cabo is Cabo San Lucas' sister city, a charming and romantic colonial town with the flavor of Old Mexico. Founded as a mission in 1730, San Jose is a mile inland from the hotel zone along San Jose Bay. In the small historic downtown, courtyard restaurants, boutiques and art galleries surround the main square and twin spire church. Gourmet dining, sophisticated wine bars, and live Latin entertainment heat up the night. A family-oriented traditional town, San Jose is the quiet and more relaxing than Cabo San Lucas. With the area’s best surf beaches, fantastic sportfishing, a palm filled estuary ideal for bird watching, a sea turtle nursery and the La Laguna mountains to explore, San Jose is an ideal destination for nature and adventure lovers.

San Jose del Cabo has been one of Mexico's most popular Sportfishing destinations. Here you can expect to catch sailfish, marlin, dorado, wahoo, roosterfish, grouper and yellow fin tuna.  Just open is the new Playa de San Jose Marina which is just a short distance away from one of the richest fishing grounds in the entire world known as the “Gordo Bank” where most of the giant marlin and yellowfin tuna are caught.
