A typical San Carlos fishing tour description:
Your typical tour will start with your arrival in beautiful Guaymas. We pick you up at the airport, deliver you to the hotel to settle into your room, and then we go to the boat to meet your captain. Your captain will familiarize you with the boat layout, equipment, and on-board amenities. Then it's back to your room to get ready for the evening meal with your captain and his wife and some local fresh fish...cooked Mexico style!
The next morning it's an early start! After our departure from the dock, we'll fish our way to Tortuga Island and troll around it (depending on the time of year). Tortuga is a beautiful, uninhabited island with little wildlife, completely surrounded by big volanic rocks, which funnels some of the finest of fish and fishing in the Sea of Cortez - marlin, dorado, wahoo, tuna, yellowtail, cabrilla, and grouper abound.

Then on to the small fishing village of Santa Rosalia and port where you check into your room to get ready for our evening fare of the day's catch prepared any style you choose. We'll go over the days fishing of what we did or didn't do! As they say, "Fishermen never lie, they just stretch it a bit!" Then we retire for the evening, getting ready for our next day adventure.
We start the third day early with a light snack, then off to points previously discussed--looking for that all important area we didn't cover yesterday... fishing, fishing, and more fishing! After a few hours on the water, then its back to Santa Rosalia for lunch. However, we are flexible. This is your tour. If you wish to stay out - we can anchor, have lunch, snorkel, and fish again, and then back to Santa Rosalia. We'll then spend some afternoon time in Santa Rosalia for some R and R including some rest time in our rooms before our evening fish meal and discuss the next day of fishing!
On our return trip, we'll be doing - guess what? Something we all love... fishing! There is nothing like the view of the breath-taking mountains from the Sea of Cortez stretching for 25 miles. After we dock and you have checked into your room for the final night, you'll have a farewell dinner with the captain and his wife, eating guess what?? Fish and more fish.
Remember, during the winter we don't fish from San Carlos to Santa Rosalia, since the water temperature is around 58 F and there are no fish. Instead, we stop in Tortuga or San Marcos Island to troll around for grouper, cabrilla, and/or yellowtails. During the summer we troll all the way down to Santa Rosalia.
