The variety and quality of the available gamefish makes this a true fishermen's paradise. Species such as marlin, yellowfin tuna, dorado, wahoo, roosterfish, sierra, pargo, along with many other types can be found throughout the year, depending on gamefish migrations, bait supply, water temperature, and ocean currents. Gordo Banks Pangas is located in the fishing village of La Playita, on the eastern edge of a scenic coastal lagoon at the mouth of Rio San Jose. La Playita is just minutes away from historic San Jose del Cabo. Only 10 miles from Los Cabos International Airport and 20 miles from downtown Cabo San Lucas. Eric Brictson, the charter representative, settled in Southern Baja in 1985. Prior to moving to the Cape, Eric spent over 25 years fishing off of the coastal waters of California and Oregon. Eric is an English speaking American who oversees virtually every aspect of the charter operations. One medium action 6 to 7 foot fiberglass rod with a Penn 113 H sized reel loaded with 30 to 50 pound quality monofilament. One medium / heavy action trolling rod with a Penn 114 H sized reel loaded with 50 to 80 pound quality monofilament. Assorted bait hooks # 1 to # 10/0, mono and wire leader material, feathers, hoochies, rapalas, casting and yo-yo type lures (2 to 5 oz.)
