Gloucester Deep Sea fishing charter for Striper, Blue Fish, Cod, Haddock, Tuna and Shark.

Run by Captain Tom Maiuri, the Lady Ashley is a custom built TM 30 equipped with a heated cabin, top of the line tackle, new Yanmar 440 diesel, and a tournament winning crew.

Depth will range from 80 to 300 feet. Traditional jigging and dead bait methods will be used to catch the fish. Average size ranges will be anything from 5-50 lbs..

The past few seasons have been excellent for bottom fishing and this year is proving to be the same. The season for this type of fishing is May to November with the biggest fish normally being taken in the spring and fall when the water is colder. Excellent table quality

This is our staple Species here in Gloucester. We use several different methods to catch striper including live or dead bait, trolling and jigging. We often troll wire line at Race Point for good numbers of keeper bass. These fish are very powerful and put on a good battle. Size range can be from 5-40 lbs for these fish and the best times to fish for them is June to October. Excellent table quality

Pound for Pound one of the best fighting fish out there. Bluefish have sharp teeth and a bad attitude. We generally troll artificially baits or cast into schools of these fish to catch them. They run in good numbers from early July to late October. These fish are allot of fun to catch. Table quality is fair depending on who you ask. The meat is a bit oily, but if cared for properly it can provide a good meal.

Several different species of shark roam new England waters including Mako, Blue, Thresher and Porbeagle. The Majority of what we catch during our charters are Blue sharks with the occasional Mako, Thresher or Porbeagle. Shark fishing is an exhilarating experience as these fish can reach sizes of over 1,000 pounds. Shark season is from August to October. We catch sharks while drifting and chumming. We use 50lb. class stand up gear to battle these fish. We also catch some cod during our drift. Be prepared for a full day.

Bluefin tuna come into our waters starting in July and they are an absolute blast to catch. We target school Bluefin tuna by trolling a spread of artificial baits. We will also cast into schools on the surface. Tuna are a tremendously powerful and fast fish. Just when you think you got em….they will make a run on you and dump half your reel. In the past few years we have seen school Bluefin in the 30-100 lb. range in good numbers within striking distance from shore. These charters are run from mid July to October.

This boat was hand built by Capt. Tom Maiuri in Tewksbury Mass. It is a truly unique boat because it is a 30 foot walk around with a Pilot house and Cabin. You can literally fight fish from the bow to the stern on the Lady Ashley.

The boat is powered by a new single screw 440 Yanmar diesel engine. The Lady Ashley handles rough seas remarkably well and has plenty of speed to get you on the fish quick. We have top of the line safety equipment and electronics on the boat, not to mention outriggers, bow thrusters, a live well and a custom bait box.

Lady Ashley Charters offers extremely affordable rates and can accommodate a party of up to 6 people.

All tackle and bait is provided by us. If you would like to bring something please call first. We take pride in providing the best equipment possible for the species targeted.

Snacks and water will be available to you, but please bring yourself a lunch as you will be working up an appetite. All beverages are welcome, but no hard liquor please. If you plan on brining a cooler on board please call first. We try and keep the deck clear so you can fight the fish from anywhere on the boat.

Always bring extra clothing and a jacket in case you get wet or the temperature drops. Please bring gloves in the colder months. Sunglasses, hats, and sunscreen are staples for long days on the water.

Also feel free to bring a towel and bathing suit if you would like to take a swim at some point during your trip.

If you are prone to sea sickness, take your pills before you get on the water.
