Boston Fishing Guide

Captain Webb Thompson is a fully insured and licensed US Coast Guard Captain. He is a lifelong fisherman, an experienced teacher and guide, and has been fishing Boston Harbor since 2000.

He has been an avid fisherman his entire life. Webb grew up fishing whenever possible. Whether it was in Long Island sound near his home in Connecticut, the many rivers of Vermont and Montana, or in Florida, he seems to always have a fly-rod in hand.
Webb invites you to join him for a fishing adventure no matter what your level of experience. He is well-equipped to guide the novice through the excitement of his or her first big fish, and has the expertise to show the experienced angler the best of the Boston Harbor Islands.

Boston Harbor Fishing

Nervous Water Charters offers a private Boston fishing guide specializing in fly fishing Boston Harbor and the surrounding waters for striped bass and bluefish with fly fishing and light tackle gear.

Charters are available in half, three-forth, and full day trips. The charters usually accomodate up to three guests, but trips for larger groups on multiple boats can be arranged. Times for these charters are flexible, depending on the tides and your schedule. Most morning charters leave between 5:30-6:00 am. Evening charters leave around 3:00 pm.

Introducing the "Quick Trip!"

Don't have 4.5 hours to dedicate to a fishing trip? The quick trip is designed to allow you to get out on the water without having to take half the day off work or miss dinner. On a morning quick trip, you can be out on the water at 5:00 am and be back on the dock by 7:00 or take a client out fishing for a couple of hours after work. Although a half day charter is ideal for being able to fully take advantage of the harbor fishery, you don't always have the time. Quick trips run on an hourly rate of $125 with a minimum of 2 hours.

Fishing Boat

Boat: Captain Webb's boat, Nervous Water, is a 20' Jones Brothers Cape Fisherman Lite-tackle Edition. The boat provides plenty of room for up to three guests to ride and fish comfortably. Nervous Water is fully equipped for Boston Harbor fly fishing and light tackle fishing gear. You are welcome to bring your own as well.
