Our Chesapeake Bay, Maryland Charter Fishing Trips leave from Selby Bay Yacht Basin on Chesapeake Bay's South River Chesapeake Bay. These fishing trips are for Rockfish, (Striped Bass), Black Drum, Trout, Croaker, Hardhead, Flounder, Spot and Perch are available from April through June and September through November. We are located just ten minutes from Annapolis in Edgewater, Maryland on the South River.
All licenses, bait and equipment will be provided. The mate will usually be able to provide fish cleaning services. This service may not be available on half-day trips because of the short turn around time between half-day charters. We will also cater to any other requests such as multiple boats, fishing contests, corporate events,  box lunchs, etc.
Areas Fished and Methods Used Since we are located in one of the most productive areas of the Chesapeake, we typically run for less than 45 minutes in order to find fish.
The speed of Babu allows us to be at any location on Maryland's portion of the Bay within 90 minutes of leaving the dock. Our normal area of operation covers from the Brewerton Channel to Breezy Point on the Western shore and from the Swan Point to Hoopers Island on the Eastern shore.
We specialize in Striped Bass fishing both trolling, and chumming. Light tackle is available. We also cast, jig and bottom fish when appropriate. We will bottom fish for most other species, and fly-fishing can be accommodated, but you will need to provide your own equipment.
Atlantic City, New Jersey Fishing Charter Fishing Trips (June - August)
 Our Atlantic Ocean Charter Fishing Trips are from Mid-June To Labor Day out of New Jersey's Absecon Inlet in Atlantic City, New Jersey across from the Trump Marina Casino - our summer base for "Babu". We have been fishing this area since 1968 for Tuna, Shark, Bluefish, Bonito, Little Tuny, Dolphin, Spanish Mackerel, Skipjack, Wahoo, Albacore, Marlin, Flounder, Weakfish, Sea bass, and Tautog. Trips from four to twelve hours are available.

About the Babu
 Babu III is a 26' catamaran fishing machine licensed by the USCG passengers.
- The boat is powered by twin 140 h.p. engines allow her to run at 40 MPH in 4' seas.
- She has a clean enclosed head, and her console is enclosed to protect you from the weather.
- Babu's electronics includes Radar, two VHF radios, CB Radio, two GPS, Plotter, two Fishfinders, and an autopilot.
- Outriggers and downriggers are frequently used when trolling. Penn, Fin-Nor and Shimano reels are employed exclusively featuring SS series and bait runner spinning reels for light tackle usage and International, GTI, Senator series, and levelmatic reels for trolling. All spinning equipment is spooled with P-line copolymer spectra line, and the trolling equipment line varies from monofilament to wire to lead core. The reels are mounted on Uglystick spinning rods and custom trolling, Penn Slammer and Senator conventional rods. We also cater to light tackle enthusiasts.
About Capt. John Wilkinson
Captain John Wilkinson was first licensed by the United States Coast Guard as a 6 pack uninspected vessel near coastal operator in 1973. Since then he has upgraded his license, and now holds a 50-ton inspected vessel near coastal master license. Capt. John has been fishing and running powerboats since the 1950's, and has been charter fishing for over 30 years.
What to bring?
Bring food and beverages (no glass containers) along with rain wear, sunglasses, sunscreen, camera, binoculars, insect repellent and a container for your fish (leave in car). Always dress in layers, and bring rain gear that we hope will not be needed. If you are susceptible to seasickness, please take  medication before leaving the dock. Your trip will be ruined if you get sick. The Solpadine transaderm patch is highly effective and is again available as a prescription. Over the counter remedies are also available.
