Mary Lou Too is a family business featuring full, half-day and evening Chesapeake Beach fishing charters. We can also provide a cruise to get a close up view of some of the Chesapeake Bay lighthouses. Chesapeake Beach Md Fishing Season Our fishing season runs from mid April to mid December. Chesapeake Beach Md fishing fishing for Stripers (Rockfish as we call them), Bluefish, Sea Trout, Croakers, Perch, Spot, Flounder, Black Drum, Spanish Mackerel, and what ever bites. Trophy size Stripers are caught in the early and later months of our season. Starting in late May we start our evening fishing for Croakers (hard heads), Stripers, and Bluefish. Our charter hours are flexible to suit your schedule. About the Mary Lou Too The Mary Lou Too is US Coast Guard certified for carrying up to 22 passengers for your comfort, enjoyment, and safety on the Chesapeake Bay. Mary Lou Too is a 46’ custom fiberglass boat powered by a 435hp caterpillar diesel engine with modern electronics and navigation gear on board. Captain Russ, sons Captain Rich, Captain Dave, and mate Steven (Grandson) will help you enjoy your Chesapeake Bay adventure. Captain Russ has over 35 years and Captains Rich and Dave have over 25 years experience on the bay.
We Provide We provide the license, tackle and ice for your catch. You can bring your own equipment if you desire. Don’t forget a camera, food, drinks, seasonal clothing and a cooler to take your fish home. The Mary Lou Too can accommodate up to 22 people -- great for business trips, church groups, and family reunions.
Starting time is usually 6 AM -- but we can be flexible. Starting in May, evening Chesapeake Beach charter fishing is also available. Usually leaving at 5 PM, this is a wonderful way to escape the heat of day, watch the moon rise over the Chesapeake Bay, and enjoy night fishing for Spot and Croakers (aka – Hardheads). The Mary Lou Too practices catch – tag – and release of stripers for The American Littoral Society. Make up or shared charters for individuals and small groups are available.
