My name is Captain Gerald Ellender and I live in Houma, Louisiana. Houma is located in Terrebonne Parish which is centered between the Mississippi River and the Atchafalaya River. It has been said that the Atchafalaya Basin is one of North America's greatest remaining Estuaries. That being said, it is no wonder why the waters around and below Terrebonne Parish are so rich with fish and wildlife. I have always heard, if you do what you really love and are passionate about, then you will not have to ever work again. That is why I am a fishing guide/charter fisherman. I love preparing for trips and still get excited. I enjoy working everyday of the week if needed. I am so grateful that I am able to share this passion with my clients and customers.

My name is Captain Joshua Ellender. I have been professionally guiding for a little over four years. Prior to guiding, I was in the Navy for seven years and worked along the east coast. I grew up in Houma, Louisiana and have virtually been fishing the area since my single digit years. I was lucky to have one of the best fishing teachers out there, who is my father, Captain Gerald Ellender. As Captain Gerald stated above, I also have a passion for fishing. I was one of the lucky ones to figure out what I love to do and that is sharing my experience of catching fish with customers. I truly enjoy getting fish slim all over me because my customers are catching so many fish. It is one of the best experiences you could ever have!

Inland fishing offers Redfish, Speckled Trout, Black Drum, Founder and Sheepshead. Coastal and near coastal offers all of the before mentioned as well as Snapper, Cobia/Ling/Lemon fish, King Mackeral and many others.

Although April through September are considered the prime times of the year to fish, we have caught limits all year long with the exception February. The cold fronts along with high pressure really slowed the fishing down.
With the weather being a little more predictable in March, the reds and trout are much more active and easier to find.

April, May and June will offer super trout fishing with an occasional 5 or 6 lb fish. June begins the calmer months of summer offering great offshore fishing for snapper, cobia and kings.
