Venice is called by those who know, the finest fishing destination in the United States. And our guests appreciate that since 1998, Lighthouse Lodge Motel is the best place to stay.

Hurricane Katrina destroyed the original structure, but now it’s back, better than ever, with 62 beautiful rooms. We also have 8 spacious fully furnished Villa units available for reservation.

Look for the Lighthouse on the right hand side of Highway 23 as you get close to Venice. Better yet, call or stop by, the staff is always friendly. The owners are the same Strohmeyer family with the furniture store in Gretna serving New Orleans for nearly 30 years.

Lighthouse Villas

Located just north of Venice Marina at the southern tip of Plaquemines Parish

Condo units available with and without fully-equipped kitchens.

Be sure to ask about the best fishing charter captains for yellow fin tuna, tarpon, dolphin, wahoo, kingfish, redfish, and sea trout. Enjoy the finest fresh shrimp oysters and crab to be found anywhere.

There’s also sight-seeing and historical places of interest all within easy reach for artists and photographers.

Enjoy our very comfortable Lobby and find out what’s being caught, the latest news about the area, great food, local attractions and destinations.
