Fishing destinations include: Lake Calcasieu, Hopedale, and Venice, Louisiana. The Mississippi River Delta and the vast marshes in the Southeast portion of the state of Louisiana have been voted by ESPN as the Sport fishing Capital of the United States. Venice is the last town accessible by land along the Mississippi River and is square in the middle of the richest fishing grounds in North America. The Lake Calcasieu, Hopedale, and Venice areas offer World Class light inshore tackle fishing for speckled trout, redfish, and flounder. All of these locations allow customers a year around fishery that allows the angler the opportunity to catch trophy speckled trout, sight cast for redfish in the marsh ponds, the opportunity to catch bull reds on light tackle, flounder, tarpon, and world class off-shore action.

Calcasieu (Big Lake) Fishing for Redfish and Speckled Trout
We fish the entire Calcasieu (Big Lake) estuary from the Calcasieu River, the Calcasieu Ship Channel, and the beach of the Gulf of Mexico. This lake is known for its world class size speckled and massive amounts of redfish. Calcasieu Lake is nationally known for its world class trophy sized speckled trout (11 plus pounds is lake record) and redfish paradise. This estuary is best from February through June for Trophy Speckled Trout. The best months for numbers of speckled trout and redfish the months of July through the end of October are best. This area is mainly fished from the boat by drift fishing oyster reefs, slicks, mud boils, and working birds. Wade fishing is available, but this is for the true hardcore angler!!!!
Venice and Hopedale Louisiana
This is the sport fishing capitol of the world for both inshore and offshore fishing. Venice, Louisiana is known for its world class speckled trout and redfish fishery. It not only has numbers of both fish, but it also has numbers of trophy size speckled trout and bull redfish. You can sight fish for slot sized redfish and monster jackfish in the shallow marsh ponds or go out to the oyster reefs and catch world class speckled trout and redfish on topwaters. All fishing is done from the boat either drift fishing or sight fishing in marsh ponds, over oyster reefs, or on the beach front. The best months are from March until December. Hopedale is a great place to catch large numbers of speckled trout and sight fish for redfish in the marsh or duck ponds. This area consists of large open bays with large oyster reefs through out all of the bays and lakes. This is a great place for light tackle sight fishing or fly fishing.
