Captain Mike Frenette
With over 25 years of experience running the number one guide/charter service in Venice Louisiana, he has earned world wide recognition as the very best charter captain in South Louisiana. In addition, he is responsible for many new innovations in angling for different species including Tuna and Wahoo.
Mike also fishes professional Redfish Tournaments and can be seen on ESPN while competing in the Oh Boy Oberto Redfish Tournaments. Mike has been the host of his own television show Outdoor Adventures with Mike Frenette, hosted a fishing segment during the news on Fox 8 WVUE in New Orleans.
He has appeared on numerous television shows including Mark Sosins Salt Water Journal, Shaw Grigsbys One More Cast, Roland Martins Fishing with Roland Martin, Ron Shears Great American Outdoors, George Poveromo's Fishing the World, along with many other guest appearances. Capt. Mike has also been featured in numerous publications such as, Salt Water Sportsman, Sport Fishing Magazine, Big Game Journal, Southern Saltwater, Sports Afield, Outdoor Life, Bass Masters, Louisiana Sportsman, Florida Sportsman, and numerous Newspapers throughout the country.
 Mike has spent the majority of his life learning the waters of South Louisiana. His decision to make charter fishing his life's work was formed by his love of fishing and his knowledge of the Mississippi River Delta area in which he plies his trade. Never satisfied with just fishing, Mike wanted to be the best at what he was doing and he has spent over 25 years creating the most professional environment for his customers. Learning the habits and environments of the numerous species that inhabit these abundant waters has not been easy, but he has become known as the top professional in his field, excelling where many others have failed. Post Hurricane Katrina, after losing everything, Capt. Mike and his wife Lori decided after 25 years in business that they were not giving up, buckled down and built with their own hands what today is the finest lodge in Venice. The Redfish Lodge of Louisiana is the Lodge for all! Complete with first class accommodations and the finest of Cajun cuisine. Cajun style cuisine with seafood gumbo, jambalaya, grilled fish, bronzed fish, shrimp stews and creoles, boiled shrimp and crawfish, are just some of the fine dishes that are served at the Redfish Lodge. Breakfast in the morning and lunches, snacks and drinks are provided on all boats. Of course if you get hungry in between, snacks and drinks are available 24 hours a day.
