Gary has established a reputation as a very professional captain who works hard to not only put you on fish, but also insure that you enjoy your fishing trip. We provide quality custom fly fishing trips in the beautiful swamps and marshes of southeast Louisiana. Based in Slidell, we are located only 40 minutes from New Orleans and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Louisiana Marsh and Bayou Fishing System There is no such thing as the "perfect" fishing boat, but after years of experimentation I have developed a "nearly perfect" system for fishing a remote southeast Louisiana area known as the Louisina Marsh. It begins with my classic Mr Champ. a  locally buit 31' Lafitte Skiff which I've customized to cradle an 18' Hell's Bay Waterman and/or 4 Heritage Kayaks. Relax in the comfortable surroundings of an air-conditionned (or heated) cabin while traversing the open waters of Lake Borgne. This boat is equipped with a comfortable cabin which allows you to ride out of the elements until you arrive at your fishing destination. Once at the fishing grounds, the smaller boats are launched. Now you will have acess to even the "skinniest" waters for husky coastal REDS that wil either be tailing, cruising or crwlin' the banks in search of minnows, crabs & shrimp.
The unique Louisina Marsh provides 650 miles of pristine bayous, back bays & tidal flats. Once there, you may choose to fish from our new Hell's Bay Flats Boat with the captain locating fish & poling you into casting position. The numerous bayous and bays n the southern Louisiana marshes for tailing Redfish. At lunch you can return to the skiff to enjoy lunch. Louisiana Fly Fishing for Redfish and more...  We specialize in sight casting for Redfish. This area provides a variety of light tackle & fly rod opportunities for speckled trout, Flouder, spanish mackerel, ladyfish, black Drum, steepshead & Jack Cravelle.
I was born & raised in this area. my family has always lived & worked on these waters. I invite you to experience fishing with me! Fish for: Speckled Trout, Flounder, Redfish, Jack Crevalle, and Spanish Mackerel, to name a few of the species found in our area.  We use quality Shimano bait and spinning tackle as well as quality Orvis fly tackle.
Louisiana Kayak Fishing You may, however, express your own independence by fishing from one of our Heritage kayaks. Although you will be overseen by your captain, fishing in a one man kayak allows you to have the freedom and independence to do it your way. These kayaks are extremely stable, and you can even stand up to sight cast. We also offer paddling excursions for Kayakers thru the Louisiana marshes up to six people/trip. It is also a great opportunity for bird watches and outdoor photographers to experience the serenity of these pristine marshlands and abundant wildlife that thrives there. Our goal at Go For It!
