The largest fish ever caught on rod and reel, an 1805 lb. blue marlin was caught right here off Honolulu. Not only does Honolulu deep sea fishing offer a chance at a record fish such as this, but also the best opportunities in Hawaii to catch other game fish like mahi mahi, ono, ahi, and skipjack tuna.

We are located at Kewalo Basin, minutes from Waikiki and some of the best natural fishing grounds Hawaii has to offer. Maggie Joe is a 53 foot custom sportfisher designed especially for sportfishing in Hawaiian waters. Powered by a pair of 375 HP Caterpillar diesels, Maggie Joe features a spacious cockpit and bridge, fully air-conditioned cabin, complete entertainment center and a full galley. Maggie Joe is a US Coast Guard inspected and certified vessel and is very well maintained.

With a success rate exceeding 95% and over three generations of fishing experience in Hawaiian waters, we believe we can provide anglers the best opportunity to catch a trophy fish. Maggie Joe's largest fish is a 1277 lb. blue marlin, the second largest fish ever caught out of Kewalo Basin.

Captain Mike DeRego has over twenty-seven years experience as a licensed captain and thirty years of fishing in Hawaii. Waikiki Fishing Charter

Departure is at 600AM daily and lines are set immediately after leaving the harbor. Our professional, experienced crew will guide anglers and explain the proper use of Penn International and Shimano Gold reels.

No experience or fishing license is required. Sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful blue Pacific and warm Hawaiian sunshine until the excitement begins! When a line goes off, its in the chair and time to experience the thrill of fighting a fish.

For three generations, catching fish has been our livelihood and we want our customers to enjoy the experience and excitement of fishing as much as we do. Should a memorable catch be boated, taxidermy service is available. We also participate in scientific research and tagging projects, and practice tag and release.
