Tagish Yukon fly fishing charters for Lake Trout, Arctic Grayling, Northern Pike in Toobally Lake

Grizzly Creek Lodge Yukon, Canada

Grizzly Creek Lodge is located on Toobally Lakes in the southeast Yukon Territory. Also, 90 air miles north of the small town of Watson Lake. Since 1990, Grizzly Creek Lodge has been providing world class wilderness adventures to anglers from all over the world. Both the upper and lower Toobally Lakes are over 200 feet deep and are separated by 12 miles of the Smith River. Since it is also dotted with large shallow shoals, it is a perfect habitat for Lake Trout, Northern Pike and Arctic Grayling.

During the months of June, July and August, Grizzly Creek Lodge offers the most sufficient fishing trips the north has to offer. The Smith River is an incredible fishery on its own because it offers large numbers of Arctic Grayling, Whitefish, Northern Pike and Lake Trout.

Since Grizzly Creek Lodge is located on both lakes, it makes it easier for fisherman to have more of a variety of fishing activities. We believe that this variety that we offer sets up apart from others.

For the serious fisherman, we have developed trails into some of the small lakes in the area. These lakes are known for trophy pike water with fish measuring over 45 inches. Also, each fishery is accessible by boat or on foot. This allows you to have an adventurous time fishing each day.

Every day in Yukon, Canada at Grizzly Creek Lodge is an adventure. Whether it’s trolling or casting for big lake trout, fly fishing for arctic grayling or northern pike, it’s always a great experience.

Toobally Lake & Smith River Fishing

All fishing is catch and release only, no exceptions other than the shore lunches we prepare for you each day

Lake Trout

The Toobally Lake produces remarkable lake trout fishing with fish averaging in size from 8 to 45 pounds. The biggest trout fish caught in Toobally Lake was around 46 pounds. Grizzly Creek Lodge offers early-season sight casting, fly fishing, lure fishing, trolling, plugs or plastics to lakers around the many reefs.

Northern Pike

The Yukon is home to some of the best northern pike fishing on the planet. Both upper and lower Toobally Lakes have a large population of these brutes. Whether you prefer to use fly or spinning gear, hang on! These fish are large and aggressive!

In addition to the excellent pike fishing the main lakes offer, we have small boats with motors on some of the smaller lakes in the surrounding area. These are accessible by a short hike through the forest on our established trails. These lakes regularly produce some real monsters that can go close 50-inches.

Arctic Grayling

Imagine water so clear you can see every fish in the pool and watch as they fight to be the first to your fly. This is a normal day on the Smith.  A fly or spin-fishers dream, the Smith River is literally teeming with schools of arctic grayling.

These fish are real fighters too, often breaking water before they are landed. Twelve miles of the Smith River separates upper and lower Toobally Lakes. This makes access easy for our jet-boats. Whether you prefer to wade or fish from the boat you will want to spend more than one day experiencing this fishery.
