Panama City Reef Fishing

One of the unique and fascinating features about fishing in the waters off Panama City Beach on the Panhandle of Florida are artificial reefs.

Bay County fishermen and divers enjoy a bounty of great artificial reefs sponsored by the Bay County Commission in partner with The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commision, The Army Corps of Engineers, dive clubs and individuals. It's one of the best public programs of it's kind in the country and we are proud to be part of it, many thanks go out to our county leaders for there help in keeping this program alive.

We fish hundreds of artificial reefs from old airplane wrecks, bridge spans, concrete rubble, chicken transports, car bodies, farm equipment, pyramids, sunk schooners, shrimp boats, tugs, tankers, tanks, train cars and old tires as well as some of the best live bottom this area has to offer? You name it we've fished it.

Please remember when fishing a good spot take no more than you need and leave some for seed.

Meet the Captain

There is over 200 years worth of salt running through the veins of Captain Billy Archer and his family. Born in 1956 set out to sea in 1969 with his now deceased Grandfather "Capt.Tiny" and step father Captain Buck Archer who were pioneers in Bay County. Before building one of this area's first USCG approved charter boats back in the early sixties, Captain Tiny spent many fine days at sea learning from some of the best captains on the best boats around. The Archer's quickly learned what it meant to have a top notched fishing experience.

It starts with a great attitude, state of the art equipment and a passion for what your doing. That's precisely what my family has passed on to me. Since 1974 when I received my Captains license I soon realized that it's not just a job it's a life sharing experience. Starting with my boat, the tackle, electronics and my crew all the way down to our artificial reef program we've got you covered. There is no better feeling as a charter boat captain than watching your passengers enjoy themselves. It's the best part of the job. I invite you to come share what I've learned about fishing that hopefully will be a difference for you on your next  Panama City  fishing charter.   Bring the whole family and I look forward to seeing you on the Seminole Wind!

June 1st - July 10th Snapper season, you can keep your fish!
