Islamorada fishing guide and fly fishing for Tarpon, Permit, Bonefish, Redfish, and Snook.
Islamorada Fishing Guide Thank you for reading my "Guide Page" and let me introduce myself. My name is Bob Jones and I am an Islamorada bonefish guide here in the Florida Keys. Fly fishing for Bonefish and Tarpon on the flats and in the backcountry surrounding Islamorada is a real passion of mine that started years ago. Now I guide anglers who charter me to the flats and backcountry for some of the best bonefishing and tarpon fishing the world has to offer.
The Village of Islamorada is quite a vacation destination with many nice hotels and restaurants, and consequently as an Islamorada bonefish guide I am fortunate to guide many anglers who have only read about, but have never caught a bonefish or tarpon before. I get a special thrill out of guiding novice to experienced anglers and children to their fist bonefish or tarpon.
I too started fishing the Keys in 1981 while on holiday from my conventional job. I was so excited about what I had found here in the Keys that I told everyone I knew about this incredible flats and backcountry fishery. They listened to my fish stories of giant tarpon and 12 pound bonefish for years.
When I later moved here full time to pursue my own dreams of fishing these flats on a daily basis, I found that I had what seemed like an endless supply of friends and fellow anglers that wanted to experience first hand the excitement of casting to a tailing bonefish or the bite of a 100 pound tarpon as he eats the fly only 40 feet from the bow of the boat.
What I soon discovered is that I enjoyed taking others fishing as much as I enjoyed fishing myself. I will always remember the first tarpon and the first bonefish I ever caught. The thrill and excitement I felt can not be described in words. Now I find the same thrill and excitement in introducing others to the sport I love when they catch their first Tarpon, Permit or Bonefish.
Captain Bob Jones Testimonials I would like to thank you Captain Bob for providing us with one of the best experiences fishing that we have ever had. My brother Tony and I have been dreaming of fly fishing the Keys for many years now. You made it everything and more than we believed it to be. We have fished with many guides, but you are by far the most knowledgable, friendly, and most professional that we have ever seen.
You are directly responsible for helping me land my first bonefish which I will never forget. You didn't just put us on fish, but you took the time to explain and teach us things and techniques. You went into detail on how and why things are done a certain way to hook these amazing creatures on a fly. Thanks once again for making this such a memorable experience. I'm sure that this will be the first of many experiences that we will have!
Thanks! Joe Pevec

Islamorada Fishing Guide Rates Full Day Trip (8 hours) - $500 3/4 Day Trip (6 hours) - $425 Half Day Trip (4 hours) - $350 Night Tarpon Fishing (4 hours) - $350
The rates above are for 2 anglers. There is an additional charge of $75 for a third angler unless they are a child under 16 years. To maximize your fishing experience, I suggest only 1 or 2 anglers per trip. Children are always welcome! If they can't fish well, we'll teach/help them! I always love to take children fishing!
In order to maximize your chances of success while sightfishing for Bonefish, Tarpon, or Permit, I would highly recommend that you allow yourself at least 3 days of fishing. This will help accomodate for less than perfect weather conditions we might experience in 1 or 2 days. It will also allow you time to get more comfortable with seeing and reading the fish, as well as allowing your casting skills to develop to a more effective level.
Deposits/Cancellations A $100 deposit is due at the time of booking for each day of fishing scheduled. Cancellations must be made 7 days prior to the trip. If your trip is cancelled due to the weather, we can either reschedule or I will issue a refund for the deposit already paid.
