Cocoa Beach fishing charter for Tuna, Dolphin, Kingfish and Snapper.
Cocoa Beach Fishing Charter Fishing for: Tuna, Dolphin, Kingfish, Snapper,Grouper, Wahoo and Amberjack Capt Art has been fishing every since he could walk. He is obsessed with BLUE WATER fishing and diving. It's the adventure and excitement each BLUE WATER outing brings that compels him so.
Growing up he fished all the land-locked waters of Tennessee, Arkansas, and Mississippi. In these waters he caught his limits on bass, trout, crappie, bluegill, catfish, etc. It is known that if Bill Dance or Roland Martin didn't catch fish one outing then Capt Art must have been there the day before.
At 20 years of age he joined the United States Air Force and became one of the elite Pararescuemen. Here, he trained in the field of Rescue and Recovery Operations. His favorite training was SCUBA. This started his adventures on the "high seas" that to this day continues to inspire and excite others, hence the name Arts Adventures.
In the Air Force for 30 years Capt Art has fished and dived the world over. His favorite spots were Hawaii, Okinawa and the Philippines. His memorable dive experiences were dry suit dives in Iceland and England; beautiful but just too cold. The Air Force is where Capt Art received most of his boating skills. In the 70s he was part of the 6594 Test Group, Hickam AFB, Hawaii whose primary mission was satellite recovery operations. Later, he led search and rescue teams to Africa and Spain for the Space Shuttle Transoceanic Abort Landing Sites. These contingent operations required parachuting skills that had recurring training in open ocean parachute deployments. For 30 years Capt Art maintained these skills and was the lead boat master instructor. He attended numerous USCG sanctioned schools and maintained his boating skills throughout his 30-year tenure.
Capt Art received orders to Florida, for the second time, in Aug of 93 where he has fished and dived these waters, non-stop. Fish behavior and habitat has become second nature to him through all his underwater encounters. He has made hundreds of dives off the Florida coast and has discovered numerous uncharted fish and lobster havens that always bring good results. It is said that if the fish arn't biting then Capt Art will go down, see what the problem is; and fix it!!! Capt Art retired from the AF in June of 2003. He is now doing what he enjoys the most, FISHING AND DIVING FLORIDA'S TREASURE COAST.

Cocoa Beach Fishing Yellowfin Tuna - This trip entails crossing to the other side of the gulf stream (approx 80 mi). Here, in the summer months, the tuna are migrating to the north in vast numbers. To find the tuna you have to find the birds. We do this with our Furuno 12KW radar. The tuna bring the bait pods to the surface so they have one less escape route. Then the action starts, the water begins to boil and tuna leap out of the water chasing the bait fish. The birds go crazy trying to get whatever scraps pop up. You pick all this action up on radar about 6-8 miles out. Once you have a visual on the fish you troll up drift of the school and the get ready for the reels to scream!! Your in for the fight of your life as the average time to land a tuna is 20 to 40 minutes. Its not uncommon to also catch marlin, mahi, and wahoo on the tuna trips. Non-stop fishing action; one of my personal favorites.
Bottom Fishing - There is always plenty of excitement bottom fishing. We go 10-30 miles off shore depending on the time of year to find the fish. We fish in 60-240 feet of water and catch grouper, snapper, black sea bass, cobia, amberjack, flounder. We use an assortment of live and dead bait to include: cigar minnows, sardines, squid, menhaden, pin fish, etc. The action is nonstop and the rewards are great. Bluewater Trolling - Trolling consist of pulling 6-8 lines in a multitude of formations. We use an assortment of lures/skirts, live and dead bait. We troll at speeds from 1-15 knots depending on fish targeted. Primary target fish when trolling are Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, King Mackerel, Tuna, Marlin. There's nothing more exciting then the sound of the reels screaming with another "big fish knock down". Cocoa Beach Fishing Charter Rates
