Charter Boats or hop on our Drift Fishing Boat the Lady Pamela III, Fort Lauderdale's
ONLY Fly Bridge Sportfish Drift Boat. We are the closest charter fleet to the ocean in
South Florida, only 5 minutes from fishing grounds. Your time spent aboard our fleet is
fishing, not traveling. Plan a corporate event, or just have a fun day out on the
water with family and friends. Chances are you will end up going home with dinner and a
great story.
Fort Lauderdale Sport Fishing
Fishing in Fort Lauderdale is one of the most exciting things to do
while visiting South Florida. Our Fort Lauderdale charter fishing fleet consists of two
custom built 41 foot Hatteras Sport Fishing Boats. The Lady Pamela II and I are tournament
ready with top of the line tackle, cold air conditioning, refrigeration, a clean bathroom
for the ladies, and comfortable seating in the cabin.
The Lady Pamela II has an articulating fighting chair suspended over the
water. You have
to see it to believe it. Fish the chair if you dare.
Shared Charter:
When chartering a sport fishing boat, you have two options, a shared
charter and a private charter. Say there is just 2 of you and you don't want the
private charter, we put together a small group, if you're single, we'll fit you in. We do
the legwork so you don't have to.
Private Charter:
On a private sport fishing charter, you have the entire boat to yourself
for up to 6 people. More room for you, more fish for you. We can also accommodate a
sport fishing
trip for more than 6 people, please contact Captain David Ide for
details.
Fort Lauderdale Drift Fishing; 22 people maximum
Drift Fishing is one of the best ways to see Fort Lauderdale, not to
mention, it is one of the best bargains when looking to charter a fishing boat in South
Florida. Plus, if you're lucky, you might come home with dinner.
While drift fishing in Fort Lauderdale, the most commonly caught species
are Sharks, King Mackerel, Bonito, Tuna, Mahi - Mahi (Dolphin), Snapper and Grouper.
Our drift fishing boat, The Lady Pamela III, is a 37' fly bridge
Sportfish fully equipped
with a clean bathroom and a shaded sitting area. It is a U.S. Coast
Guard Licensed and
Inspected-fishing vessel custom built by Stapleton Boat Works. The Lady
Pamela III is
recognized for its spacious cockpit and fishing area. The bridge is
loaded with top of
the line electronics for superior safety and fishing success in Fort
Lauderdale.
Powered by twin Volvo 450 diesels with a 15 ft beam, you will not fish a
nicer, quicker,
more comfortable boat in Fort Lauderdale, let alone South Florida.
In each case (sport fishing or drift fishing), we provide pretty much
everything: two men
to work for you, everything for fishing (license included), coolers and
ice. All you have
to bring is whatever you want to eat or drink. There is a dock store on
the premises for
your convenience.

Fort Lauderdale Daytime/Nighttime Sword fishing Charters
Swordfish are one of the most highly sought after game fish in the
world, and Fort
Lauderdale rivals anywhere, as one of the best places to catch them.
With their
incredible strength, speed, beauty, and ability to jump from the sea,
they offer the
ultimate offshore challenge.
Just a short distance of about 14-16 miles off our coast lies the gulf
stream and in its
nutrient rich waters lies some of the best Sword fishing on the planet.
Our Sword fishing
takes place during the day and at night, when they come up from the
depths to feed on a
variety of bait.
The techniques we employ include drifting in the currents of the gulf
stream with squid and live bait. We also use light sticks and lights under the boat to
attract their attention while nighttime sword fishing. While waiting for a bite there
is an abundance of life that is attracted to the lights including Squid, Mackerel,
Flying Fish, Dolphin, and often our intended quarry.
Few thrills match baiting an excited sword only feet from the boat. Once
hooked the Swordfish displays speed and power like no other game fish.
My name is Captain David Ide. I'm a third generation fisherman, who grew
up fishing south Florida's famous waters. I run the Lady Pamela Sportfishing Fleet and we
take pride in
catching our customers' fish and letting them experience the thrill of a
lifetime.
I have a very professional and courteous crew that will do whatever it
takes to get the
job done and make sure that our customers have the best time they could
possibly have.
Together our crew has over 50 years of Fort Lauderdale fishing charter
experience. They
also have many years of worldwide fishing experience, including numerous
tournament wins.
Lady Pamela Sportfishing Charters is conveniently located on the
intracoastal waterway,
in the heart of Fort Lauderdale Beach. We are only a short drive from
Miami, Boca Raton,
and Pompano. Fishing in Fort Lauderdale is well worth the short drive.
I look forward to fishing with you.
