OFishal Business Charters specializes in plying the Space Coast's rich offshore waters for exciting species like dolphin (mahi mahi), sailfish, wahoo, grouper and much more. We also offer specialty trips such as trolling for yellowfin tuna on the "Other Side" of the Gulf Stream, as well as high-speed trolling for lightning-fast wahoo in the Bahamas.

The Captain

I am Capt. Alex Sorice. I have been fishing offshore Port Canaveral for more than a decade. I started offshore fishing at the age of eight and have been hooked ever since. I completed sea school and received my captains license in 1997. I have been offering Port Canaveral Florida fishing charters for more than 7 years and look forward to sharing my knowledge and enthusiasm for offshore sport fishing with you and your group. I have sharpened my skills over the past decade and developed a solid, successful crew that will help you generate some very memorable fishing experiences.

Port Canaveral Charter Fishing Fleet

Florida Fishing CharterOFishal Business is a 40' Black Watch with all the amenities of home and Fully Coast Guard equipped and inspected for added safety. She is powered by a pair of Volvo 480 HP turbo charged diesel motors. Starting in the cockpit we have a full freezer box to keep your catch ice cold, a custom built fighting chair to assist you on landing your trophy, built in tuna tubes to keep small tuna lively for when the blue marlin show up, and a full teak floor that is soft on your feet. Inside the saloon which is fully air conditioned and able to reach a chilly 68 degrees she is equipped with a sofa on the starboard side and a large dinette to the port side. Forward is a large spacious galley with a two burner stove, microwave, and TV/VCR. Down 3 stairs to port is a full size walk in Head (marine toilet) with separate stall shower. On the port side is a private stateroom with bunks. All the way forward is the master stateroom which is the Captains private quarters. 

Ofishal Business I Fishing Trip Rates

Tuna Trip: - This trip we will travel approximately 60 to 100 miles offshore to the East Side of the Gulf Stream. It is common to encounter large yellowfin tuna, dolphin, wahoo and billfish. The Yellowfin are generally running from May to August with the bigger fish showing up in the tail end of the run in Late July and Early August. Approximate time 14hrs.

High Speed Wahoo Trip: - Upon Request this trip is commonly an overnight trip to Bimini. During this trip we search the Edge of the Matenela shoal for large Wahoo, Marlin and large Dolphin. The focus of the trip is for Wahoo. It is commonly done when weather and seas permit between November and February. Approximate time 24 - 48 hrs.

8-Hour 3/4 day -  $900.  Plus Tip: This trip we will travel 20 to 40 miles offshore the spacecoast in search of Dolphin, Wahoo, Blackfin tuna, Sailfish, Cobia, Grouper, Snapper, and more. The average time is 8 to 9 hours on the water. We generally depart at 7:00 and return at 3:00.

10-Hour Full Day  - $1,100. Plus Tip:  This trip we will travel 20 to 40 miles offshore the spacecoast in search of Dolphin, Wahoo, Blackfin tuna, Sailfish, Cobia, Grouper, Snapper, and more. The average time is 8 to 9 hours on the water. We generally depart at 6:30 and return at 4:30.

**There is a possibility of a fuel surcharge based on fuel prices.

OFishal Business II Fishing Trip Rates

OFishal Business II is a 32' Stuart Angler with a single 330 HP Cummins. Capable of a 22 knot cruising speed. She is fully USCG equiped withall of the required saftey gear and then some. She is equiped with the best electonics on the market to aid us in finding the fish. In the small forward cabin she does have a head or marin toliet available.
 

fishing5 Hour Half Day - $550. plus tip for the crew. On this trip we travel approx out to 20 miles in search for King Mackerel, Cobia, Mah Mahi, Sail fish, and much more. 

9 Hour Full Day - $750. plus tip. On this trip we fish the same waters as the half day and then some. We also go out to the deeper reefs and wrecks in search of Amber jack, grouper, and other bottom fish in addition to the Mahi Mahi, Sail fish, Wahoo, and King Mackerel.

Night Time Shark Adventure 4 hours - $400. Plus Tip. This trip is for those wanting to try there luck at catching some large sharks, and the possibility of sting rays, and Tarpon. This trip we usually depart around 7 or 8 pm and are back to the dock around 11 or 12 PM.

We were founded by a family of sport fishing enthusiasts who want to provide you with a new style of charter boat. Tournament Trips: For a list of upcoming tournaments please email me or give me a call. Rates for these trip based on which tournament.

Other: We can customize any trip to fit your own liking. We also can do Shuttle and Rocket launches, River Dinner Cruises, and Bahamas trips. All of these trips will be priced upon receiving the request. All trips are tax deductible for businesses.

Remember the Mate He works hard all day for very little pay.

OFishal Business will provide your party with a highly qualified professional mate. He will assist and cater to all your fishing needs to help make your trip enjoyable.

Many people have asked whether or not to tip the mate or not. Generally speaking it is customary to tip them 15% to 20%.

We ask that you bring the following for yourself and your fishing party:

  • Sun screen, lotion and chap stick
  • Food and drinks
  • Motion sickness remedies (taken at least one hour before the trip)
  • Shoes that you won't mind getting wet and won't slip on the deck (Please No black soled shoes)
  • A foul weather jacket (wind breaker or water resistant jacket)
  • Sun glasses and a hat (polarized is recommended)
  • A change of dry clothing is advised
