Charter fishing in Key West is a dream of mine that came true over 20 years ago and I have loved everyday since. I grew up charter fishing in New Jersey with my father John Weinhofer aboard the Jack Tar and loved fishing the canyons, but the lure of Key West's world class fishing was over whelming. The ever changing fishing seasons and the variety of fish have me hooked. I'm like a little kid if you keep me off the water too long I start getting grumpy. Just can't wait to see what's going to happen today.
I have my favorite fisheries like sight fishing sailfish in April or balling bait sailfish in November. Or maybe the shrimp boat fishery for Black fin tuna and muttons. Or is my favorite dolphin fishing when the water surrounding the boat turns green with dolphin in May-July. Or maybe the swordfish slashing at the baits in the dark or the sight of seeing a big sword jump on the line in the day time? The Silver King(tarpon) jumping trying to shake the hook in May-July. The permit on the shallow water wrecks just west of the Marquesas.
I guess I haven't really figured out my favorite yet but they all make me smile from ear to ear. God I love my job.
What you need to know about me is that fishing is supposed to be fun. If your not having fun with what were doing, you need to tell me so I can change something we're doing to make it work. There are days where we tarpon fish in the morning and Dolphin fish the afternoon. Or Permit fish in the morning then go snorkeling on the shallow water wrecks. Hey this is your day and I want to make it special for you. If you have a great day out on the water, I'm going to have fun. When the day is over I'll have made a new friend and new repeat charter that I will see for years to come.
The compass Rose is a 37 foot Invincible Center Console, she is built for speed and comfort. I run a 37 footer because I do this everyday and the added comfort in a couple of feet is huge. She has the latest in Raymarine electronics from Bird spotting radar to digital fish finder. She has a custom tower for spotting fish and yes if your careful you can go up in the tower as long as it is not to bouncy. She also has all the creature comforts of a nice center console too, full marine toilet and fresh water washdown and much more.

I also have a Two bedroom two bath Condo vacation rental in Key west it is $160 a night. It is lovely, just a minutes walk to the beach. But this books up early so give me a shout and reserve it way ahead of time. It sleeps up to six people but it is better with four. It has a full kitchen, pool , Jacuzzi, gym and full maid service
