The St. Johns is the longest river in Florida - 310 miles long. It is one of the few rivers in the United States that flows north.

The land area that drains into a water body is called a drainage basin - also called a watershed, the St. Johns is divided into three drainage basins.

Because the river flows north, the upper basin is the area to the south that forms its marshy headwaters.

The middle basin is the area in central Florida where the river widens forming lakes Harney, Jesup. Monroe and George. The lower basin is the area in Northeast Florida from Putnam County to theriver's mouth in Duval County.

Where the climate and water conditions are favorable for natural bigmouth bass. Striped bass are also plentiful at certain times of the year. Many Bigmouth bass in the six to twelve pound class are caught regularly in our area. Bream and black crappie (Speckled perch) also grow large in the St. John’s river. Bream over one pound and crappie over two pounds are not uncommon. Shrimp in the fall months are found in abundance in the St. John’s river too.

We feature clean, modern, individual rental units. We have one bedroom up to five bedroom units. All of which include television, air conditioning, heating for your comfort. All of our housekeeping units have complete kitchen facilities with coffee makers and microwave ovens, toasters, dishes, pots and pans and basic utensils. Many have screened porches. All linens are supplied; all you need are your groceries and clothes.
