Have a Blast Fishing Charters; that should be our name. At Triple Time Sport Fishing Charters, we strive to put the emphasis on fun fishing. We specialize in offshore, deep sea fishing, but we can also show you the enjoyment of fishing close in, near the reefs, or in a secret spot. Key West sport fishing is a way of life for us, not a job. We are a family of fisherman with more than forty years of fishing the local waters of Key West and the Florida Keys. This stuff is in our blood. For captain and crew alike, it is still just as thrilling for us to land a big one (or the little one) as it is to the first timer.

A lot of Key West fish are migratory, so certain fish bite at different times of the year. Our wintertime fishing includes sailfish, wahoo, mackerel (king, cero, spanish), jacks (rainbow, crevalle, amber). Sailfish migrate down the east coast from the middle of march to the middle of may, then again in late October through December. Dolphin show up in May through August, and when they are here, there is a chance of catching a marlin (blues or the rare whites). You might consider our reef fishing, which is usually good all year round. There is a lot of action with mackerals and barracudas and it is always fun on 20 lb spinning tackle.

Captain Joe always knew what he wanted to do with his life. His father had one of the first charter boats in Key West in the late 40's.

Joe was only 9 years old when his father passed away. Many of the older captains took him under their supervision where he was able to learn various ways of fishing.

Joe started by filleting fish to washing boats and eventually became a first mate. At 18, he became a commercial and lobster fisherman. In 1976, he finally decided to follow in his father's footsteps and became a charter boat captain.

The Triple Time is a fully air conditioned (3 separate AC's) 46' Bertram with a 16' beam. She is powered by two Detroit diesel 871TI's. Triple Time has 2 staterooms with two bathrooms, a living room with TV/VCR and a CD player. All electronics have been recently upgraded with the latest technology. There is also a full kitchen. The Triple Time is one of the most comfortable riding boats and she also raises fish. We use all Penn International Reels with 20lb, 30lb, and 50lb test line for various fishing.
