The lodge has only 6 boats available with a maximum of 12 persons per week.

Isla Juventud
Isla Juventud The fishing area of Isla Juventud is really huge and covered with large white flats and some of them are mixed with coral and turtle grass. You are inside a marine park, and all the surrounding cays and lagoons offer very good fishing.
This is some of the best Bonefishing we have ever seen.
The average fish is large, more than 5lbs with a possible catch of double-digit fish every day. This is perhaps the last place in the world where you can experience a " never seen fisherman" bonefish population. The trophy size of Bonefish and the different types of fishing, wading and poling, will make this incredibly interesting fishing even for the most experienced fly fishermen. Tarpon are caught from 10lbs to well over + 80lbs, in channels, on the flats, the open sea and around the mangroves. Some other more areas are spotted suitable for Tarpon fishing. Concerning to Tarpon fishing this absolutetly the best that Cuba can offer! The maximum of fishermen is limited to 8 anglers only!

South Ana Maria is one our latest discovery in Cuba. The area is completely untouched and exclusively maintained and chartered. Species found in this area are Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit, Snook, Jack crevalle, Snapper, and Barracuda. Our goal is to offer another destination to unexplored, virgin waters, as we once did in other areas now well known and protected as in Jardines de la Reina. Anglers arrive at Jucaro port where they will board the yacht, for a transfer to the first fishing area. The program can be booked for 4 to 8 anglers in exclusivity. Those staying aboard the yacht will be in 5 double rooms, all with air conditioning and private bathrooms. The guides, crew and wait staff have a separate sleeping area aboard and will be at guest’s beck and call throughout the week.

Jardines de la Reina
Jardines de la Reina, is a large group of remote islands, located 60 miles offshore. It is a string of completely deserted islands of more than 100 miles! Most of the guests stay at the luxurious floating hotel the La Tortuga or spend their days on a fishing cruise along the flats and lagoons that have hardly never been fished before. Jardines de la Reina is an excellent fly fishing territory where BIG Bonefish and Permit can be caught. During the years we explored excellent Tarpon channels, flats and mangrove lagoons. Every season Tarpon have been caught up to 100 pounds and more. There is also excellent reef fishing for Barracuda and Jacks. No commercial fishing is allowed in Jardines de la Reina.

Las Salinas & Rio Hatiguanico - BUDGET
Las Salinas, located in the Zapata National park, has been closed for decades as a government military protected area. The area has been open since 2004 and Tropical Fly Fishing has reliable contacts to book fishermen to this Bonefish paradise. Las Salinas is a beautiful area. The rule at Las Salinas is fly fishing only ! The boats are flat-bottomed non – motorized with a maximum capacity of 1 guide and 1 fisherman and single fishing is the rule. Accommodation is at Hotel Don Pedro or Hotel Playa Larga. Another option is fly fishing at Rio Hatiguanico for Tarpon, Snook,Snapper, Barracuda and Jack Crevalle. Since December 2008 Cayo Santa Maria provides exciting fishing on BIG Tarpon, Bonefish, Snook, Jacks, Barracuda and other reef predators. Cayo Santa Maria is located in the western sector of the Jardines del Rey and is a 3½ hour drive (or a short flight) from Havana. Guests will stay at Hotel Villa Las Brujas or at **** Melia Sol Cayo Santa Maria an all inclusive resort, which is also a perfect stay for non-fishermen. Flat boats are available and the guides are experienced and English speaking. This is still a relatively unknown fishing area but in the last few seasons it has proved to be particularly good for large tarpon. The tarpon fishing is world class. Fish from 10 to 40 lbs are present all year round and big fish up to 100 lbs+ are present especially during the summer months. Combine this with other species such as Bonefish. Snook, Jack Crevalle, Barracuda, Sierra Mackerel, Snappers give this area a wide variety of different species to catch on the fly.
