Costa Rica Tarpon Fishing

This is a fishing trip. Your charters begin just after your trip through the Mountain Cloud Forest, your boat trip upriver to the lodge, and a lunch punctuated with local fruits and vegetables. Your charters will end when you say "Let's go back for Happy Hour" or when your arms are too tired.

Each following day will begin with an early morning cup of steaming Costa Rican coffee. The rest of your day you and a companion and your local guide will cast a lure or fly to the schools of "Silver Kings" ---sometimes in the Caribbean Sea and sometimes in the quiet lagoons of Jungle Rivers. Whether offshore in the morning or in-river under the Rainforest Canopy after lunch, the target will be Tarpon. Other species like Snook and Quapote and offshore species will spice up your day, but we call ourselves "Jungle Tarpon" for good cause.

Following Happy Hour, and an evening meal of healthy local foods, you may choose to continue the action with Surfcasting at the Rivers Mouth. Others may select a hammock at the rivers edge to watch the birds and monkeys perform. This is your schedule every day though lunch of your last day. It mixes world class fishing with equally famous natural beauty, heart pumping action with marvelous relaxation, and guides and service staff committed to providing you the best of fishing experiences.

The extended version of the Deluxe Lodge Fishing Trip takes you for two days of Pacific Coast Bill Fishing off the white sand beaches of Manuel Antonio National Park. Sails, Marlin, Wahoo, Roosters and more are the target during two offshore charters on day seven and eight. Billfish action in the blue green waters of this most reliable fishery is the perfect conclusion to your Caribbean Angling adventure. You will check out of your oceanfront hotel after the last charter and fly back to San Jose at about 5:00 in the afternoon of day eight.

Deluxe New Jungle Lodge

Specializing in intimate groups of 2 to 14, The New Jungle Tarpon Lodge is one of Costa Rica's most deluxe and unique Caribbean Jungle Adventures.

Nestled in a very special 100 acre paradise that is bounded by the Parismina River lagoon and the Caribbean Sea, turtles nest on our beach, monkeys and birds fill the tree top canopy and fresh and saltwater fish surround our Island hideaway near the entrance to the Tortuguerro National Park.

Large rooms, fully tiled floors and bathrooms, open beam ceilings and Almendro wood throughout, you'll find elegance in the Jungle.

Drawing upon 20 years experience managing the famous "Great Alaska" Adventure Lodge, Costa Rica will fill your days with Tarpon, Bill Fishing and Eco Tours that have made this exact location famous with Anglers and Adventure lovers from around the world.

The Nature Safaris

Costa Rica has long been at the top of the worlds list of leading Eco destinations. Located as the narrow connections between two continents and bounded on each side by an ocean, this little country became home to all of the birds and animals that wandered in search of the right spot. They are still here. When Christopher Columbus anchored offshore, he correctly named it Costa Rica, "The Rich Coast" to describe the lushness of the Caribbean Coast and its diversity. Our lodge, bordering the Caribbean Sea and an inland lagoon, capitalizes on this natural phenomenon and provides us access to all of the mysterious rivers of Tortuguro National Park---the crown Jewel of the thirty nine National Parks in this little country.
