Quepos, Costa Rica is internationally recognized as one of the top destinations for Sailfish and Marlin in the world. It isn't uncommon to have double digit sailfish hookups in one day. And several different species of Marlin are found off the coast of Costa Rica. A few of which are Blue Marlin, Black Marlin and Striped Marlin. The best time of year to catch a Billfish in Costa Rica is from November to April.

But if the Billfish aren't what you are after while Sportfishing in Quepos, Costa Rica ,we can also take you Bottom Fishing for Large Grouper and Snapper.
Or Inshore Fishing for Roosterfish and Snook. All of these Inshore species can be caught year round. But during the rainy season the water can get cloudy along the shore so it depends how much rain we got recently to determine whether or not it is worth trying for them or not. The boat is equipped with all latest Electronics to find the rock piles and snags they like to hide around.
Quepos Costa Rica Sportfishing
If you would prefer to try fishing for something to eat while in Costa Rica there are plenty of "meat Fish" to go around. The Dorado are large and plentiful. We catch them all year round and they average 30 to 60 lbs. We even get the occasional 80+lber like the one in this picture. The Mahi-Mahi are beautiful fish and very exciting to catch usually jumping several times during the fight. We also catch Wahoo most of the year. And they are also a fun fish to fight and delicious fish to eat. We get some Yellowfin Tuna in Quepos, Costa Rica as well with the best time catch a 100+lber being in the fall. We get small Tuna year round.
