Our Boats in Osa Peninsula
Our main fishing vessel is a 26' Proline. American made and imported into Costa Rica for your comfort and safety. Full equipped according to American Coast Guard standards for safety as well as stocked for all of your pro fishing needs. We use Penn International Rods and Reels in tip top shape imported from the USA. We have an enclosed cabin should you need to take a break from the sun or rain as well as an enclosed head.
Although the fishing here is rated among the best in the world, you will not share your spot sandwiched in between forty other vessels. Amazingly, often times you will not spot another boat within miles of our vessel! This is truly unbelievable since an unprecedented number of World Records have been caught within an 85 mile radius of our fishing waters. You truly will experience fishing at its finest.
As we live and work among the native people of Sierpe, we have come to make many friends as well as appreciate the depths of their knowledge and experience. During our high season, we will provide you with the best boat and captain for your chosen tour. Depending upon your needs, you will be enjoying your day in boats ranging from 42' to 21'. You may also chose to enjoy a ride in a pontoon style, or venture on your own in kayaks. We are here to provide the perfect trip for you and your loved ones.
Our Location
We are located in the remote village of Sierpe de Osa. Set alongside the Rio Sierpe, it is nestled among acres of untouched Rain forest while still offering amenities that you may not find in other locales.
Sierpe still provides a more economical approach to seeing the pristine environment of Costa Rica's tropical rain forest while assuring you some of the creature comforts that are necessary on your vacation. In the past, Sierpe has been overlooked as a tourist spot and instead been used mainly as a layover prior to visiting Drake Bay. While the Bay is indeed a beautiful place to visit on your stay, in Sierpe you have all of the natural environment within walking, boating, or horseback riding distance while also enjoying electricity, air conditioning, cell service, Internet, restaurants, and taxi service if necessary.
The Sierpe River and its surrounding villages have lush, tropical flora and fauna, three types of monkey, countless tropical birds including Scarlet Macaws and Toucans, crocodiles, iguanas, and large fish. The mangroves along the river of which you can tour, provide a nursery for animals of all kinds to hatch and raise their young, many of which can be seen on our tours.
Drake Bay is only the beginning of your journey to fishing for a marlin or sailfish, whale watching, snorkeling or diving. All charters on the Osa have access to the same waters and Cano Island. You will indeed spend many hours fishing these waters, relaxing on nearly deserted beaches, or snorkeling among Costa Rica's tropical fish when you book your charters with us.
