My name is Dan Ross, and I am the proud owner of Dan Ross Sportfishing. I live full
time in Jaco, Costa Rica with my beautiful wife Emma and my son Danielito. Whether
it is lounging on the beach, fishing offshore, or enjoying the magnificent rain
forest, we fully enjoy everything this beautiful country has to offer. The people of
Costa Rica make it even easier with their laid back lifestyle and friendly attitude.

After targeting big fish for the last fifty years in my home state of Oregon, and
also Alaska, and South America I call Costa Rica home because the fishing here
surpasses them all. Chasing fish such as marlin, sailfish, tarpon, tuna, and dorado
is my passion. I would welcome the opportunity to share that passion and experience
with you on your next fishing adventure here in Costa Rica.

Costa Rica Fishing Boats and Equipment

All of our boats supply only the finest captains and mates. The equipment they use is only the finest Penn International, Shimano and G Loomis. We also have more then 30 fly rods and reels to offer an opportunity and teach you how to catch a billfish on a fly rod.

We are a small hands on operation. We treat every new client as a new friend. Living and working here in Costa Rica has been a phenomenal experience. I have been in the Sportfishing business for over 27 years and have enjoyed helping and teaching people how to fish. I totally enjoy the look on someone's face as they hook into the biggest fish of there life. To be able to show people around Costa Rica with all the wildlife and scenery is just a new experience everyday.

We are now working out of our new office at the HARD ROCK RESORT CASINO in JacoCosta Rica near Los Suenos Marina. The hotel wasformerly know as the Fiesta Hotel and a very good friend of mine Jeff Salomen has recently taken it over and invited Emma and I down to to offer our fishing services.

The hotel provides its own transportation between Jaco and San jose or many of the other adventure locations within Costa Rica. The hotel has 80+ rooms ranging from 75.00 - 150.00 per-night, a room for every budget.

There are 4 swimming pool's anda very nice bar and casino all right on the beach. You can enjoy the beach while having breakfast and dinner just a few feet away from the breaking surf. There are
many scarlet Macaws, Iguana's, Crocodiles, Alligators and even the odd monkey on the premises along with many more species of birds. You will also enjoy a short walk to down town Jaco for either some shopping or some crazy night life. Jaco is a great place for the whole family to visit and enjoy Costa Rica.

Our office is located in front of the reception area next to the largest of 4 swimming pools and the lush gardens of the hotel. Emma will be taking over all other tours (horse back riding, crocodile tours, zip-line rides, butterfly gardens, National parks and many others throughout Costa Rica as well as van, car and limousine rentals. This will also put us only 45 minutes from Quepos, one of the other very popular locations for fishing on the pacific side of Costa Rica. I already have several clients booked to travel to the Caribbean side for Tarpon and Golfito, Flamingo, Tamarindo. I will also still be booking and hosting many trips throughout Costa Rica.
