Rock and Roll Charters is based out of Clinton CT, home to some of the best fishing on Long Island Sound. We are a full time charter boat company with a fun loving professional crew offering morning, afternoon and night trips. Striped bass, bluefish, fluke & scup are all a 10 minute boat ride away, while if you’re looking for something bigger, we offer shark fishing. We fish the waters off Montauk NY, which hold some of the best shark fishing in the world. The most common types of sharks caught are the Mako, Blue and Thresher.
Regardless of which trip you choose, no expense is spared to make sure that you have a great day on the water. The boat is equipped with twin diesel engines, underwater exhausts, air conditioning, extra large head (bathroom), state of the art navigation equipment and all PENN tournament quality fishing tackle.
CT Fishing Captain TJ Karbowski Bio
Captain T.J. Karbowski is a United States Coast Guard Certified Master Captain. He has been fishing the waters of Long Island Sound, literally his entire life. He started competitive fishing at age 11 with his father winning TWO top spots in Montauk shark tournaments. He has been hooked ever since! When TJ was 20 he had finally saved up enough money to buy his own boat, a customized 27' Sea Ray. A few years later, to realize his dream of being a charter-boat captain, TJ acquired his captain’s license and purchased a bigger boat. With a 35' Luhrs, Rock and Roll Charters was born. Years later, he purchased his current boat, a Hatteras 41. This is a quality built vessel, designed for offshore fishing. The boat is diesel powered; tournament rigged and has been completely updated.

- Bluefish (also known as choppers) are an absolute blast! The combination of their razor sharp teeth and vicious attitude give them the reputation of being "the piranhas of the sea". If anglers are looking for a real tug-o-war challenge, this is it. These fish travel in packs so the action is fast and furious, sometimes catching as many as 75 in one outing.
- Striped Bass are the absolute KING of Long Island Sound. As New Englands most popular gamefish, they can grow in excess of 60 lbs! Get ready for a good fight because these fish fight hard and stay deep, making long runs before they come to the surface. With thick white fillets, they also make excellent table fare. They feed most aggressively around the times of sunup and sundown.
- Fluke, Porgies, Blackfish and SeaBass are a favorite among fisherman. These bottom dwellers are usually found around wrecks and rock piles. They are also some of the best eating fish in the sea. We target these fish along with Stripers and Blues on most half day trips but a dedicated trip for a specific species can be arranged. Call for details!
- Shark-- Ever see Jaws? This trip is it! The blood and guts, the gigantic rods and reels, harpoons, gaffs. --- Bluefish, we use them for bait!--- Catch the oceans top A-Pex predator. **Times can be adjusted to suit your needs.
